First of all, I am so happy that Daughtry finally came to CT! It was great to end the 2007 Daughtry tour at Home.

So when my dad and I arrived at Foxwoods around 5pm we went right over to get our tickets. I happened to see Toni standing nearby so I went over to introduce myself and say hello. Michele was also there so I got to meet her too. I chatted with them for a little and then we went over to meet Lu who was waiting in line. Everyone was really nice and I’m glad I got to meet them! I’m pretty sure I saw Heather around the box office area too, although I didn’t get the chance to say hello. Today she mentioned that she saw me as well.

I really loved the theater at Foxwoods. Since it was small and sort of like a movie theater there was not a bad seat in the house. The Midway State opened the show. They were alright, although not very exciting. A few songs into their performance I got to meet Pamela since she came over to where my seats were. She was really nice and it was fun to chat with her for awhile since I really didn’t care for the opening act.

Sometime after 8pm Daughtry took the stage!! I was so excited. Even though this was my 4th show, I was just as excited as if it were my first! I loved the backdrop and the lights too. Despite Chris still having his cold, he sounded great! Along with their songs, the guys did a lot of cover songs as well. It was nice to hear Chris sing “Imagine” and I like how he mixed in “I Walk The Line” with “What About Now.” He also did a little of Guns N’ Roses’ “Paradise City.” Chris even sang a new song called “Back To Me” that he hopes to put on their second album. I really liked it. Also, seeing Josh Steely sing for a little was great too. It was such an amazing show and I didn’t want it to end! Last night DAUGHTRY was truly "The Wonder of It All!" Eye-wink

When me, my dad, and friend Nicole got into the arena we met up with Kelly! I'm glad we became friends! I also met some of her family and friends that were at the show too. Kelly had FRONT ROW seats which was amazing! It was fun to hear about her front row experience after the show. She had some funny stories and I can’t wait to see her pictures. After I talked to Kelly for awhile I ended up meeting Jill who also introduced me to Nadine. It was great talking with them too!

The night was chilly but still a lot of fun! The opening act, 12 Stones, was pretty good. I liked some of their songs. The best part of their performance was when Chris Daughtry came out to sing "Broken Road" with them. I thought it was really neat that he co-wrote the song. What a nice surprise to see him during the opening act!

It was definitely worth it to travel 3 hours to Saratoga Springs, NY to see Daughtry. I had an amazing time at the concert and saw another great performance by Daughtry!! Thanks to my aunt my cousins Andrew, Jeff, and I had GREAT seats too; 15th row from the stage! (This is probably why it took us forever to get our hearing back!) This is probably the closest I have ever been to a stage at a concert. It also helped that SPAC is a small theater! I still used my binoculars for a little bit, just to get a close-up look at the guys! Chris sounded great! I liked how he used the megaphone in "Crashed" and in a few other songs. He seemed to have some trouble with the megaphone at first, but then luckily he got it working! I love that he interacted a lot with the audience. People were going crazy each time Chris threw out his hat, towels, and water bottle to the audience! I saw him slap hands with the people in the front and then at the end he ran in front of the stage. I loved the jokes Chris made about Joey's hair- one day looking like Vince Vaughn, then Brad Pitt. It was also nice to hear him sing "What About Now." At the Six Flags show I attended, he did not sing this song so it was cool to hear it at this concert. Daughtry's final song of the night was "There And Back Again" and they really rocked out during this one. It was great!

Staind's performance was good, although I'm not really a huge fan of theirs. I like some of their songs but felt their performance wasn't as exciting as Daughtry's or Nickelback's. During the beginning of Staind's performance I thought I saw Josh Steely standing around the outer part of the stage. When I realized it was definitely him, I started walking to where he was to have him sign my ticket. Unfortunately, he had already started walking backstage so I did not get to meet up with him. Almost though! Maybe if I walked up a little sooner I would have met up with him!
