I just wanted to share this with you..

It was Wednesday and we had our lesson of psychology of personality and our teacher came in the class and showed us 1000 Sk and asked if we want it. And we said yes,of course, some of us asked what we have to do to gain it. And then she creased this paper money in her hand and asked if we still want it.
"Yes, we do! No problem! But don´t tear it!" we answered with laugh.
She thew it on the ground and trampled on it. And then she asked again if we´re sure we still want it even if it´s so creased and dirty. And we said yes again reasoning it that value is unchanged.
" You´re right. And just as this paper money all people even if they´re dirty or they stink or whatever they´re people, their value is unchanged."
In the end she said that if this is the only thing we will remember from our lessons it has sense, it is worthy.

And I´m calling for the same thing- remember it.

Take it as a message from human to humans.

And think of it..

Here is an evidence that however we are small country,some bands and singers know about us and actually they haven´t thought that we´re not good enough to be a part of their tour:

I still hope that you´ll come one day to Slovakia and then you will make my dream to come true!

According to my friends and me, here are some basic facts everyone should know about Slovakia:
- We have beautiful nature, a lot of caves and mountains - best example - High Tatras.
- Slovak women are the most beautiful women in the world! Never heard about it??? (btw, girls have said that we have also handsome guys! )
- Our national hero is Juraj Jánošík (similar to Robin Hood or William Tell. He took from the rich and gave to the poor.).
- Best beer! , delicious cuisine - btw, national meal is bryndzové halušky.
- Beautiful language, however it´s hard to learn for foreigners, but we appreciate every try
- A lot of castles and other wonderful historical sights, spas, our beautiful traditions..
- You could hear our powerful national anthem Nad Tatrou sa blýska/ Lightning over the Tatras when our National hockey team won World Championship in 2002, and many of our hockey players play in NHL – I hope you know about it!
- Guess, where does Adriana Sklenaříková come from?
- Slovak people are very nice, friendly, modest, honest, helpful, intelligent and in general well-educated and they have good sense of humor.

Slovakia has pros and cons as every country and people´s opinions differ, but in general we love this place, well, it´s our homeland, our HOME!

,, Home. It´s too hot in here in summer, it´s unkind and unbelievably freezing place in winter, but in fact, i wouldn´t change it for any other place in the world.“ Val.

Or The Slovak Republic - my homeland!

Firstly, for those who don´t know it, we´re not a part of Czechoslovakia anymore! Pls, world, try to remember it! no offence, folks, but it´s annoying when you say “ I´m from Slovakia“ and someone says “Yes, I know, Czechoslovakia!“ Actually, he doesn´t know anything then!
And pls, we don´t have sea, we are SLOVAKIA, not Slovenia!
OK, I just wanted to introduce to you my homeland.

You should know about S L O V A K I A that:
Slovakia is a small country in the middle of Europe, so-called heart of Europe, and it came to existence on 1st January 1993 when Czechoslovakia was divided and 2 sovereign states were formed.
Slovakia covers an area of 49, 035 sq km and borders the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Poland and Ukraine. Slovakia has population of 5,389,180 people ( according to 31st December,2005).
Our capital is Bratislava and this is our national flag.
