My Reviews & Blog

When my husband was deployed to Iraq with the US Army for the second time, Daughtry's song "Home," came out. It really touched me. It explained so much of what we were feeling. My 7 year old son made me promise to play this song for his Daddy when he finally came home. We did. It remains a special song for us.

We have since moved away from where we grew up to start a life for us. It was hard, but it was something we had to do. When my family calls us on our cell now, Daughtry's "Home" plays and it makes me feel like I'm Home.
Thanks for the great lyrics!

HOME

I'm staring out into the night,
Trying to hide the pain.
I'm going to the place where love
And feeling good don't ever cost a thing.
And the pain you feel's a different kind of pain.

Well I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old,
So I'm going home.

Well I'm going home.

The miles are getting longer, it seems,
The closer I get to you.
