I am a fan (and you should be too), because...

Ever since I laid eyes on Chris Daughtry with the very first promo for American Idol Season 5 IN 2004, he captured my heart! I called him as the winner from day 1. I never missed his performances on American Idol. During his time there, I looked up his band Absent Element on MySpace and became a fan of it. I bought the CD and the T-shirt and almost had the symbol for Absent Element inked on my lower back in Hawaii. (The fact that the tattoo dude stood me up is neither here nor there!) I have downloaded all of his performances on my cell phone and each time a friend or family calls me, I get to hear him singing everything from "Hemmorage" to "It's A Wonderful World" to "It's Not Over". When he got voted off, I, along with thousands and thousands of other fans changed our display icons on My Space to "Ban American Idol". I was seriously devastated! Although I still have the Finale saved on my DVR so I can see him sing with Live! Now...you all have the last laugh! I waited for Target to open when the CD debuted. Lo and behold it was SOLD OUT!! I came thisclose from snatching a copy from the cart of a little old lady who had it! I went to Best Buy...SAME THING! I ended up getting my copy at another Target location. Luckily I'd also pre-ordered the copy from Amazon. I ended up with 2 copies One for my car and one for work! I have a serious obsession for Daughtry that my friends and family do not try to understand, they just embrace it. Now I've converted quite a few friends and family to join me on the Daughtry ride. The poster sits on my desk at work, along with the screensaver and desktop AND cd that plays all day! (My husband completely understands my Daughtry fetish and does not try to hold me back Gotta love him!) I have even gotten my two little boys who are 4 and 3 to ask me to play "Mama's song" when I am taking them to pre-school, which is "It's not Over!" They love it and sing along with me! So you see, you have pre-school fans also!!

Nevertheless, when I heard you were going to be San Fran, I called Slims and was told it was already sold out! Can you say "HEARTBROKEN?" If I have the chance to go to San Francisco and meet Daughtry, you will make me the happiest most envied person in Stockton, California! Because, believe me, I will make sure EVERYONE knows that I went and I met the GREAT DAUGHTRY!!!! It will be posted all over my MySpace page!
