Everyone involved with Daughtry has success written all over them. From Chris himself to each and every devoted band member. Not to mention all the family support that has let them spread their wings and FLY!!

They ask me if it was worth it.......Standing in line for nearly 8hrs. My response...HECK YEAH!!!
On April 16th My bestfriend in the whole wide world (love ya Rhonda) and myself challenged the crowd and the elements all for a front row view of Daughtry.
It was my first concert ever!!! Yes, I know how lame right?(Considering I just turned 33 yrs old.) It was the greatest experience I've ever had!!! I felt like I was 16 again. I could definately sell all my stuff, jump in my mini-van (hahaha) and become a total "groupie", following them where ever they went!!!
All the band members were nice, friendly and very approachable. I know not all their concerts are going to be like this.... I mean come on, they could have sold out arenas just as quick as the venues!!! But I'm very thankful that I had the opportunity to see them this time around. To be 1-2 feet away from them as they ROCKED the Orange Peel, words can merely describe how my heart felt during that entire hour. It was like a marvelous dream......I DIDN'T WANT IT TO END!!!!
I know Chris wasn't feeling the best....His performance would have told us otherwise, but the drinks of tea and sprays of throat spray between sets let us know he still wasn't up to par. After the show I was determined I was meeting him.......I nearly cried when he got on the bus and one of the crew members said, "Come on guys, Chris is still sick, if you've read the blogs....you know he's been sick....and he needs his rest." A piercing pain to my heart at that moment.....I began to choke back tears. The 15-20 of us devoted fans that had stayed around decided to sing him a song........"Good night sweetheart, well it's time to go......we hate to leave you but we really must say...Good night sweetheart, good night...." About 20 minutes after that (yeah I was still there, just hoping he would come out).....the bus door opened and a crew member instructed everyone standing there to form a line against the bus for autographs (no pictures....Chris wasn't feeling well). I stood there patiently waiting my turn, I could see his face and hear his voice, but it didn't seem real. Finally, it's my turn.....Chris reaches out his hand for something to sign. I was at a loss of words (which doesn't ever happen...just ask all my friends), tears were filling my eyes....I gently grabbed his hand for a breif moment and then asked him if he would sign my shirt.....He had such an amazing smile....he chuckled a little and said, "Sure, I can sign your shirt..." I stepped back and all I could think about was....I WANT IN LINE AGAIN.....I WANT IN LINE AGAIN..... I will never forget this experience and I was blessed to be a part of it.
To anyone who is not a Daughtry fan....you should be, and to all of my fellow Daughtry-fied rockers...lets do our part to keep them climbing up the music ladder!!!!
WE LOVE YOU DAUGHTRY!!!!
