I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...watching Daughtry come to life throughout AI was such an awesome experience. From his first song to his last you knew this guy was bigger than an AI. Voting for him, supporting him, cheering for him, all made me feel like a part of making Daughtry happen. To watch him pop up from no where, be so talented, sing amazingly each week and become an instant star made me feel like I knew him. He made a real connection with his fans and we got to see his humbleness and uncertainty at times while jumping up and down on our couch screaming....he's the next AI. I just love him !
WOW - Detroit was Awesome
I just saw Chris for the second time now. Once with Nickelback and once with Bon Jovi. I went to the concerts for him, not the headliners. Each time though, I bacame a new found fan of his headliners, so they have him to thank for more fans. Really, though, Bon Jovi....OMG....he is just awesome. He isn't anyone that I felt over the years that I just had to see in concert....unlike Chris. The difference is that I watched Chris turn into DAUGHTRY through the Idol experience. So you know, I think I know him, so of course I have to go see him in concert. So my cousin and I were just to the right of the stage in the lower bowl and when Chris came out we were standing and waving our hands and he looked right at us for what seemed like at least a minute....probably 5 seconds, and who knows, he was probably just looking off into the distance, but that's ok because our story is that he was looking at us and we're sticking to it ! So anyway, he gave the crowd the honor to sing for him due to his cold and that was really awesome.....crowd engaging in an awesome way. Was hard to believe that he even had a cold because he sounded awesome. I loved the show and I will definitely go see Chris again. Thank you Chris and the DAUGHTRY band. XOXO
