I'm a fan (and you should be too) because... Daughtry is the real deal. Chris Daughtry either wrote or co wrote every song on Daughtry's first album, and that to me is the true sign of a real music artist, someone who writes songs and not just performs them. Daughtry have a way of creating songs that are so each indivdually amazing that choosing a favorite can be tough. Chris Daughtry has one of the best singing voices in the business and put that together with the amazing down to earth attitude he and his band members have and you can't really have any excuses to dislike Daughtry unless you just hate rock music. When I met the band I didn't really care about autographs or that I was meeting a famous band, I just liked the feeling of meeting a band with so much talent, who made the best music I have ever heard and who were so real and never gave the impression that they had an oversized ego because of their fame and success.

Chris himself is the type of guy I look for in a friend, he seems honest and humble and his confidence should never be mistaken for arrogance and I think his music reflects the great person he is. Chris is the type of guy you feel like you could be friends with and forget that he is famous and when you know you are listening to great music made by a good man it makes a difference. JP, Josh Steely, Joey Barnes, and Brian Craddock all seem just as good, making Daughtry probably the nicest rock bands that exists. Chris Daughtry propelled himself to fame through American Idol, but since has definitely seperated himself from his time on that show that made him look like another wannabe to some. Chris Daughtry is now the lead singer of a band that makes music as good as any band that exists or ever has existed. Daughtry have proven a force to be reckoned with in the music industry with an amazing first album and amazing live performances. I am just waiting for a Daughtry song I don't like and a reason not to respect Daughtry so much.
