I am a fan of DAUGHTRY (and you should be too), because the music is exceedingly captivating. The music really speaks with great energy and diversity from song to song. Chris Daughtry exudes very thought-provoking, melodic lyrics sprinkled with a hint of vulnerability, combined with a voice that is so addictive, it demands to be heard and draws you in. His voice is so unique, it moves you. The album really captures the best assets of Chris’ voice and depicts songs that just won’t get out of your head.
In addition, Chris himself seems to emulate positive role modeling for teens and exhibits good family values for all us married old codgers!
He seems so positive when it comes to his family and his wife, and that is such a nice change to see in a rocker! His determination and drive to make an album how he wanted and his resolve to form his own band shows me, and everybody who's paying attention, how we can be better and achieve more once we believe in ourselves. He wasn't a quitter and he proved you don't have to win a competition to be a musician.
DAUGHTRY has released an album that lives up to the "every song on this album is great" phrase. DAUGHTRY has a way of reaching a larger audience by courting us “soccer moms†(as Christian Hoard likes to refer to us older female listeners in his RollingStone review), alluring our husbands in a rockin’ way, and at the same time accomplishing top-40 charts that appeal to a younger audience. There is nothing wrong with an artist who can create music that defies age stereotypes and crosses boundaries of several genres at the same time. DAUGHTRY gets my points any day.
I am a fan of DAUGHTRY and of their lead singer Chris Daughtry because of his obvious talent for songwriting and I can't wait for the world to hear more from him and his band. I'm a Daughtry fan....and you should be too.
