I am a fan (and you should be too), because...Chris Daughtry is absolutely amazing. With his amazing vocal skills along with his heart felt lyrics and awesome writing ability. I don't watch American Idol much but this year my mom had asked me to come over and watch it with her. It's her favorite show. Well from the audition me and my mom both were like he is going to win the show. My favorite perfomances of Chris on the show were "Renegade" and "What If". I honestly believe you were robbed on the show. But sometimes things have a way of working themselves out. I just seen where your album went #1 ! That's awesome. But after Amerivan Idol i went and seen you at Grimsley High School in Greensboro NC were you did a performance with you former band Absent Element. I thought it rocked. My mom and her boyfriend went to. I really liked how you interacted with the crowd, lol several kids getting lost and you helping them make there way back to there parents by use of the mic. And before that you were just at your homecoming in McLeansville, NC. I seen you there and everything you got i was like wow. It was really awesome seeing someone up close that you see on tv. But you are a very down to earth guy and you seem really cool. And its very apparant how much you love your wife and kids. And that is definately something to look up to in this industry. A couple of weeks after that i went with my brother and his wife to see you, it was like a 4 hour drive i cant rememeber the name of the town to save my life, but you done an accousitic set on the back of a flatbed truck and i taped it. I think it was a town where maybe your grandparents are from. I thought it was cool how you rolled up in the big truck. I bought me a black absent element tshirt and a cd while i was there, and i believe it was Ryan from the band was there i met. I really wanted the chance to meet you in person then but didnt get the chance too. But i understand that you had to get back to your family and your busy schedule as i am sure it is probably really crazy right now but in a good way. In summary i would say i am a fan because i have seen you from your start on idol watching you progress and seeing you in person makes me believe that you are a down to earth, easy going person who is going to stay true to himself and and keep on doing what you love, and i guess seeing u from your start and me telling myself that i knew you were going to make it and now you have it gives me a proud feeling i guess you can say. I will always follow your career and i will always be one of your biggest fans. I would love the opportunity to see you in person and shake you hand and just chill but my only problem being if i won i would have to choose who to take lol, my mom or my girlfriend.
