I have to admit that I was a little late discovering this amazing band. The first time I heard a song was the summer of '07. (I'm a little slow on the uptake!) I have never watched American Idol so I didn't get a chance to see Chris on the show. It wasn't until someone suggested I check out the song What About Now that I finally heard them. The CD has been on constantly ever since! I am drawn to the powerful emotions in the lyrics of their songs. They are not just a bunch of words put to music. There is a real meaning behind them that people can relate to.
Besides the amazing music I have a lot of respect for Daughtry because they seem so down to earth, never forgetting where they came from & they treat their fans with so much respect & appreciation...not something we get from many artists. The way they continually interact with the fans & keep them up todate goes a long way in keeping such a loyal fan base. I can relate to them as normal everyday people ( who happen to be amazing musicians) with lives of their own that they are willing to share with us. I am constantly amazed at how grateful they are to the fans who listen to their music & go to their concerts. It's something that too many celebrities have forgotten...why they are there in the first place.
Thank you Daughtry for your amazing music & the respect you show to all your fans. You will have me as a fan for life!
Concert Rookie Has The Time of her LIFE!
After finally getting to experience a concert first hand I now realize why so many of you go back to see the show in multiple cities on the tour...it is so addicting & I want to go back again! It was absolutely AMAZING! I can't wait until Daughtry comes back as the headliner. I have never jumped, clapped, sang & screamed more in my life. It was definitely a night I will never forget.
I have been dying to go to the show but did not have tickets. After reading how great the show was Monday night I decided to see if there were any tickets left. I was so glad to find some even if they were considered 'behind the stage'. The seats were great & we were so close to the stage. It was better than being way up top or across the arena. It didn't matter that we were looking at them from behind...not always a bad thing eh?
I was impressed with the Daughtry support but maybe that was just in our section. We even moved over into empty seats (later filled with Bon Jovi fans) to get a better look. One fellow Daughtry lover told me she just needed a better look at Chris' butt! LOL
I went to the concert mostly to see Daughtry but Bon Jovi made me love them all over again...just like I did way back in the 80's. So to see the two of them together in one show was amazing. I was disappointed when Chris didn't come out for Blaze but they seemed to really be making the night about Bon Jovi since it was the record setting concert at ACC so maybe he didn't want to take away from them. Other than that I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the show. I am now officially addicted!!! I only wish there was some way I could catch another show on this tour.
Thanks Daughtry & Bon Jovi for an amazing experience & a lot of great memories!!!
