My Reviews & Blog
OK so I knew that someone somewhere was going to go all serious and not completely read (or disregard as one person did) what I said. Let me clarify, 1) I love Iowa and always have, I've lived here for 22 years and while I would like to travel I certainly wouldn't mind settling down here once I get done w/all the traveling (well when I can actually afford to travel that is;) 2) I know that Iowa has indeed had some big names come lately, and that there are some good concerts w/cheap tickets. In fact I'm going to one (Lifehouse on March 14th @ Val-Air) over spring break. What I meant was that most of the time if a big act does happen to come to Iowa, a lot of times (not always and in fact it is getting better) they either go to a bigger city which sucks for a girl that doesn't have a car (even though my boyfriend does but he isn't into the same music I am per se) or they come kinda close (like Ankeny) and charge an arm and a leg for tickets because of the rent/overhead charge for the building. At any rate I hope that clarifies what I meant and sorry for the misunderstanding unlike my boyfriend I love Iowa (well it's not Iowa he hates it's the winters am I right?) and all it's seasons.

PS-I have considered saving up for said concert and I do have a fair amount of money in my checking account but I feel like I'm being bad or feel guilty for spending it on concert tickets...even if it will be an awesome kick-ass show!
No fair these tickets cost like 50 bucks at the cheapest which means 2 are 100 dollars, 2 tickets people! Okay enough of my griping but seriously not only is Daughtry opening but it's friggin' Bon Jovi and in my opinon they are just awesome and I kept hoping they would come back to Des Moines. Figures I finally have the opportunity and I can't afford the darned tickets. It sucks because unless they both get a good reception I doubt they'll ever come back to boring ole Iowa.

PS-I love Iowa and I don't think it's boring but why would big acts really want to come to a state full of cornfields, soybeans, and teeny-tiny towns that even some of us natives haven't heard of? Just saying...

tickets
To anyone looking for tickets, well not anyone exactly anyone within midwest, if you want to hook up and pool money for tickets I would totally be willing to! To the last poster, where do you live?
