I am a fan (and you should be too), because...
When I first saw Chris on Idol, I knew there was something special about this guy. The first thing that struck me was the clarity and range of his voice. I've always been a huge fan of Rob Thomas, and I couldn't help but think that he had a very similar quality...I spent most of the season hoping he'd choose a Matchbox 20 song!
I just bought their CD today. OK, so it's been out for afew months, so maybe that doesn't qualify be as a "superfan". But in my defense, I held off buying it so my daughter could get it for me for Christmas. Which she did. Which she left at the GAP before she even got it home. And hey, I'm a busy working mom, you know? But I have to say this honestly. I have never (OK, Matchbox excluded) listened to a CD before that I have truly loved every track of. This one's different. Special. Maybe I'll actually get to listen to it once my daughter gets it uploaded to her ipod.
It's not often you can be there for the launch of someone's music career. To watch it unfold, cheer them on, and see their dreams come true. Thanks for letting us all share that with you, Chris. You've done yourself and North Carolina proud.
The good news is
There aren't really any bad seats at Ovens.
The mezzanine section "overhangs" the floor seats, so those in the mezzanine might be closer to the stage than those in the back floor rows. You can't tell this from the seating charts, but that's the layout.
