I am a fan (and you should be too), because...
for those of us who like our music to rock, DAUGHTRY has made it cool to bang our heads again. In recent years, rock has played second (or even third) fiddle to rap and country. Then DAUGHTRY came blazing on the scene with awesome guitars (What I Want), pounding bass (There and Back Again) and killer drums (Used To). And, uh, I guess we should talk about the vocals...WOW! What a distinctive voice Chris Daughtry has. It’s warm and fuzzy and hard and edgy at the same time. That’s why the ballads (Home - acoustic) and the harder songs (Crashed) BOTH work. The sum of all these musical parts has put DAUGHTRY at #1, is skyrocketing It’s Not Over to #1 and has made it safe again for rock fans to stand up and shout “You ROCK, dudes!†Thanks, DAUGHTRY, for bringing rock to the masses and back to those of us who have been waiting for musical salvation.
Ventura!
I'll be there. See you all there! Looks like there's no contest?? Bummer. But this is a great venue to see the band.
