My Reviews & Blog
I'm sure there were some very worried and concerned families last night.

Brief update...
Miami Herald:
When Bon Jovi came onstage shortly after 10:45 p.m., he told fans: ``I want to thank you for sticking around. It's sad but true but we now have to be aware of our surroundings. When the call came in during sound check, the police chief said it was serious. I want to thank the men and women in the police department.''

From the Miami Herald
A bomb threat forced police to evacuate the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise where a Bon Jovi concert was scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
''We're searching the building,'' said Lt. Robert Voss, a spokesman for Sunrise Police Department.
More details were not immediately available, though shortly after 8:30 p.m., Bon Jovi fans started chanting: ''Let us in.'' Half an hour earlier, police made an announcement that it would be another 25 minutes to an hour before anybody was allowed inside.
In the meantime, concert-goers milled about outside the arena, hoping for the best.
''We're concerned for the band and our own health, but we want a show,'' said Diane Elyard, who traveled from Central Florida for the concert. ``It sucks.''
She said they had been waiting to go inside since 6 p.m.
West Palm Beach residents Cindy and Jeff Burger came to celebrate their 26th anniversary. It was their first time at a Bon Jovi concert.
I'll be with yas in spirit, for sure!!!

LOL!!!!
Love the Chuck reference!
My son is a huge CN fan and one of his favorite sayings is "When the boogeyman goes to bed, he checks under his bed for Chuck Norris!"
Thanks for posting, Chris!

I have shortened this from the original as I tend to get quite long winded, as anyone who knows me can attest!
So here goes....
The opening notes of Crashed caused my heart to beat in triple time....and after what seemed a lifetime, the curtains opened and it was ON! I wanted to take it all in, like a kid on Christmas morning....just look, savor and let myself be swallowed up by the entire experience. Y'all know the setlist, I won't reiterate it here, but my take on some of the highlights:
Imagine - what can I say? Tears ran down my face as I looked up into the face of this gorgeous man with his angelic voice, singing a song that meant so much to me in my youth and that still has so much meaning for me today. John Lennon himself was smiling down Tuesday night as Chris gave that beautiful song his own inimitable turn, creating one of the most incredible moments in my very long history of concert going. I am in awe.
Crazy Train - how much do I love Josh Steely? A TON!!!!! I haven't danced reggae in a loooooooooong time, but the man had me moving!!! What a fabulous addition to the set! It is so lovely to see these guys having so much fun on stage together! Mr. Steely, I am yours forever!!! (with Mary's permission, of course!)
Paradise City and Home Sweet Home - the original bands who performed these songs couldn't have done any justice to these covers!
and then, TABA with Hey, Man - dear Lord, what heat! My skin tingled, my face was flushed and I had the biggest grin on my face....hard to hide that kind of adoration, I guess, but the guys didn't seem to mind.
Chris gets so into this particular performance, it is nearly voyeuristic to watch. But watch I did and love it, well, you know I did!! It was my sincere pleasure to witness such a passionate display of the man's talent. I make no apologies. I just heart him!!!
Just for the record...
the opening acts last night were:
Dirty University, a pretty decent rock band from West Palm Beach who did one of the best U2 covers I've ever heard, "Where the Streets Have No Name". Very charismatic front man with a good voice and stage presence.
You Are I Am, eclectic sound from a group of guys who were obviously ALL about the music! Love the lead singer's voice, especially when he went for those notes in the upper register....and he performs barefoot!!
Gotta love that!
The Midway State from Toronto, Canada, is a very talented group of guys with their own unique sound and look. I have to mention here that, not knowing anything about these guys, they look EXTREMELY young but performed very well with melodic songs and nice vocals.
Each band had their own special sound and presence....they performed original music (except for the U2 cover mentioned earlier) and deserved to be respectfully seen and heard.
