I am a fan (and you should be too), because...there is no reason to wait!! DAUGHTRY is catching on like wild fire and, soon enough, everyone will be won over. So, why wait and risk missing out?
DAUGHTRY simply gets better and better the more you hear them. I have had this cd since it first went on sale and have played it start to finish every day since (multiple times a day most days). Everytime I hear it, I LOVE it more than the last. When has that ever happened before? You would think after listening for the 1,000th time I may start to get tired of it but I never do. I just simply want to hear these guys again, and again, and again. EVERY SONG!!
I have never been a fan of anyone or anything like this in my whole life and, I must be honest, I almost feel a little silly about how obsessed I am over it!!! But, I just can't help myself!! Chris' voice simply gives me goosebumps and the band is the best out there!! I cannot express in words how awesome and talented I think this band is and how much I love the music. I've never registered on a website before or joined a message board before and never in my wildest dreams would I be posting a personal summary of why I'm a fan of something, but, for the chance to see DAUGHTRY, I simply had to do it!!
I've been following the band's every move since release of the album (like watching EVERY TV performance over the last three months; spending hours on YouTube to see all their interviews, appearances and performances; checking this website daily for updates; constantly checking the charts and searching for sales updates). Watching the band's sucess and seeing the momentum grow has been so rewarding!!
After I first listened to the CD, I told everyone I knew that DAUGHTRY was going to be huge and that it was the best CD I'd ever heard. After every great thing that happens, I have to tell everyone, "Didn't I tell you they were great! Didn't I tell you they were going big? Didn't I tell you they are simply the BEST BAND EVER!!". It's so cool to watch others catch on and to start experiencing what the rest of us have known since the beginning!!
To have the chance to see you guys live and the chance to meet you in person is beyond my wildest dreams!! It would be an absolute honor to win your VIP tickets.
I've played your CD so much that my four-year old has the lyrics to most of your songs memorized and he could sing "It's Not Over" right along side you. It's too cute. When he hears you on the radio or sees you on my computer screen, he shouts, "That's DAUGHTRY! We love DAUGHTRY!"
I tell him each time, "Yes we do, WE LOVE DAUGHTRY!!".

I'm sorry your VIP experience wasn't all that it should have been!! I was the VIP winner for a show in Des Moines, IA last year and I had a similar let down. When I found out that I won it was like I'd won the lottery. I could not have been more excited. All in all it was a great experience but, there were alot of similarities to what you went through. Long story, but, we about missed out on the whole experience when the crabby guy managing the show ushered us right out the door shortly after we arrived for the meet and greet (prior to actually "meeting" any of the band). I had to call RCA to get back in and then when we did, we were also rushed through the "buffet line" with limited interaction. We were allowed one photo but that too was rushed. I did get hugs and I can confirm that they do give good hugs!! The band was great to us and I have no complaints with how we were treated by them. It was just the "management" of the situation and the confusion in where to go and what to do and then being rushed through everything like we were nothing more than an imposition. I know they do a million meet and greets with the radio show winners and other guests and so on but, I wish that they would recognize that when they advertise a "VIP" contest, the VIP winner actually should be treated like a VIP!!
