The opening band, Small Town Sleeper, gave the crowd a better-than-expected boost. I expected a mediocre performance from a wanna-be band, but was pleasantly surprised with the performance of these four guys. They got the crowd worked up rather quickly, and they were able to keep it going with their screaming guitars and heavy bass licks from a bassist who looked to be no more than 17!
Once Daughtry took the stage, it was as though a seasoned stage presence had taken over. He approached the crowd with as much energy and confidence as a performer with 20 years of experience. Opening with "Crashed", the mood was instantly HIGH, and there wasn't a letdown until the lights came on at the end. The encore with "Home" and a medley of "There And Back Again" left most concert-goers hoarse and happy.
