I am a fan (and you should be too), because...these guys put on the best live show! The energy on stage is CRAZY! Chris's voice is amazing! If you get the chance to catch a live show you will not be disappointed!
I became a Chris Daughtry fan back with A.I. He stood far above the other talent on the show with his deep edgy voice and his never gonna change for you attitude! I tuned in every week to see how he was going to put his spin on the songs. He never disappointed, he made them all sound fresh and new, he put his "Daughtry" all over them! As shocked as everyone else was when Chris was sent home, I vowed to never watch the show again! Looking back now I know that there were greater forces laying the path of what was to come!
Once the album came out I could hardly wait to hear what this immensley talented guy wanted to deliver. He took me on a ride that I did not want to get off of anytime soon! For the first time I had gotten an album where I loved every track the minute I heard them! (ya know how some songs have to grow on you!?) Chris had me carefree and rocking on one track to feeling every ounce of emotion pouring out through his soulful voice as he sang on the next track. It was fantastic!
I fell in love with the rest of the Daughtry fellas when I was lucky enough to get to sit in on their sound check during the stop in Portland, OR. I was not sure what to expect but was excited with the opportunity to meet the guys! I was not disappointed! From the joking on stage as they tuned up, to the goofy antics as the mugged for photos with fans, and finally when it was down to business.... Those guys ROCKED!!!!!!
I had to laugh at a local DJ who was talking about the show a few days later.... She discribed ths show as "magical". She giggled and thought that she sounded "cheesy" but everyone that was there that night, I guess anyone who has gotten to see them live can understand that it really is the perfect discription of a Daughtry show- MAGICAL!
