12th show I have seen in 12 months and it was awesome! DAUGHTRY gave it there all and it showed. Hard Rock Live is a good place to see a show.

I have to say, I was impressed by the way Dirty University was received, but disappointed by the way You Are I Am and The Midway State were treated. Also very disappointed in some of what has been written under this event. Come on guys, DAUGHTRY fans are far better than that! I have seen the band many times and the shows were in several different states. I have been to shows with 1, 2, and 3 opening bands before and have never seen an audience respond that way. Please try to keep this in mind, DAUGHTRY chooses the openers and are trying to give them an opportunity to get their music exposed and possibly get signed. The bands are all very talented and some are personal friends of Chris and the band. Maybe they may not be a band you would want to continue to follow, but at the very least, we should all be respectful towards them. How would you feel if you or your friend were treated disrespectfully while you were working? Think of it this way, you never know who the next big band is going to be and with 4 bands playing that night, you can't say that they didn't try to give you your money's worth! As for the people who left prior to DAUGHTRY taking the stage, I'm sorry that your schedule did not allow you to see their amazing set. Hopefully you will be able to see the guys perform live in the future when you can plan the night better. DAUGHTRY really is amazing live!

GREAT SHOW!

The show was great! I had never been in this theatre before and it is a nice place to see a show. We got treated to some Guns N Roses "Paradise City" and Chris sang John Lennon's "Imagine" which was breathing taking. After the band sang "Home," I asked one of the ushers if it would be all right if I went down to the front to give something to the band. She said I could so I walked down to the next usher and he told me I could and I promised I would come right back up. I walked down to the front row and threw an envelope on the stage that had a Christmas card and a few other things in it. I walked back to the male usher and thanked him again for letting me do that. He then told me I could stay down there if I wanted to, so I got to be in the front row for "There And Back Again/ Hey Man, Nice Shot." JP came over to see at what was written on the envelope during the song and Chris came by twice and slapped my hand at the end of the show. After the curtain came down, I asked one of the crew members to please make sure the band gets the envelope and he said he would. Hopefully, it did reach them. I also had an envelope for the guys of Day of Fire that I had met at the NYC show, but they weren't at the show. I will send it to them in the mail. This was my 11th show and I had just seen them play both shows in NYC. They changed things and played different songs at each of the shows. I will be seeing them again this month at the Hard Rock Live Orlando concert and I can't wait to see what they are going to do there. DAUGHTRY puts on a great live show -- a genuine, quality, good old-fashioned rock concert without all the gimmicks. A pleasure to see.

OMG! What a great time! I met more really nice people tonight and we had a blast! I ran into Joey on the bar level trying to leave the area when they were first letting people into the venue and got to say hi. The show was fantastic. Loved hearing Whitesnake's "In the Still of the Night." It was cool the show was changed up from the night before. When the the show ended, I tried to get one of the set lists, but the security guard didn't want to let anyone have them. Then JP walked out on stage and gave one to another person. The security guard got mad at him. I asked JP if he could get the other one for me, but he said the guard was already mad at him and that he was sorry. Cool of JP to take the time and talk to me. I then went to the merchandise area and bought 2 CD's by Day of Fire. The band was out in the lobby talking to people. I got to hang out with Josh, Chris, and Zach for about 20 minutes, and they signed my CD's and took a photo with me. They were surprised that I had seen them perform with DAUGHTRY at the Colorado State Fair and at the show the night before. Josh asked me my opinion about both the shows in NYC and explained that there were music executives in the audience tonight and that they were trying to get a record deal. That may have been why Chris did not come out and sing with them tonight. I asked if they were going to be at the show at Foxwoods and they said they were, but either something came up or Josh was mistaken, because only The Midway State opened at Foxwoods. I also asked if they were going to be at the Orlando show, and Josh said no to that date. They were really cool guys and very generous with their time. The whole night was a lot of fun and I enjoyed meeting the cool people in the line with me who decided to stand near me during the show because I brought them to a prime spot to see the whole show. And I got to make a new friend who posted under this event so I would see it and add him to my friends. Smiling

The show was amazing! Definitely in the top 3 of the all the DAUGHTRY shows that I have seen. The Nokia Theatre is a nice place to see a show. It was my first time there. I have to say, the lighting and acoustics were very good. I loved hearing "All These Lives" for the first time in concert and a new song Chris wrote, "Back To Me," which should definitely be on the next album. It was also great to see Josh's fun side with him singing a regaee version of Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train." Chris also came out and sang with Day of Fire, which of course made the croud go wild. I met a lot of really nice people in line and standing near me during the show which really made the night a lot of fun. The band is simply amazing!

DAUGHTRY Concert Expert! That's funny. Glad you had a great time. I did as well. I am glad I could be a good ambassador for the band. I love this band and just want everyone to have a good time at the shows. It makes me happy to see other people happy and enjoying themselves, and seeing the band succeed. And you have to admit, we really did have one of the best views in the house. Eye-wink

Just when I thought I couldn't love this band any more than I already do, I find out that part of the ticket price for both shows at the Nokia Theatre in NYC on 12/4/07 and 12/05/07 will be donated to an organization called Parents Of Autistic Children. I have a cousin who is autistic and when he was born, there really was not a lot of information available about autism. Thank you to the guys for supporting this cause which is so near and dear to my heart. I have tickets for both shows and am honored I will get to be there.

Here is the info:

Parents Of Autistic Children (POAC) a non profit organization from Hazlet, New Jersey who provides scientifically based training to parents, teachers, emergency care providers and loved ones of autistic children throughout the area, is happy to announce that a portion of the proceeds from the Daughtry Concert at the Nokia Theater in Times Square New York City on Tuesday December 4th and Wednesday December 5th are to benefit POAC.

Earlier in the year, triple-platinum recording group Daughtry and their management team at 19 Entertainment were contacted by Kevin Martin, lead singer of the multi-platinum rock band Candlebox to perform together in a concert to benefit Martin's favorite charity, POAC. Immediately Daughtry replied with a resounding yes.

Since that time the two groups were having a tricky time finding a schedule that would work out where they both could play together.

"I was really stoked when Kevin gave me the Call to play with him for his autism charity, since then we have been trying to find the time with both of our busy schedules," said band leader Chris Daughtry. "My band and I are thrilled to do whatever we can to help all of the kids suffering with autism and it is especially exciting to be able to do it during this Holiday Season," Chris added.
