REVIEW

cops

I have to agree w/ you all the cops were out of hand, but if it's any consolation, my hubby who isn't even a big fan of Daughtry hackled them and outsmarted them, but after standing in the freezing cold and altho we conquered the porch next to the alley (the owners gave us permissiont to stand there) we threw in the towel and rolled our old arses outta there! Not even sure why were were there, think it was just a point for the hubby to give the cops a na ne na ne poo poo from everyone they chased away. And no it wasn't necessary for 4 cop cars and 2 vans, in fact hubby and I asked the cops if they didn't have a murder to solve or a drug bust to make a block away...tee hee!

Oh yeah and the pit is the pit, expect bruises, expect to be pushed and proded, but don't expect to be put in a choke hold. I've been on the rail for 4 NB concerts now and I've seen everything I thought, but I haven't seen that! Unnecessary and immature to say the least...hope everyone is ok.

towel

K i've gotta know now what happened w/ this towel? I was leaving and hit the potty first and a girl was in front of me saying I'd press charges there's a mark there and I heard something about choking but I'm lost...Nevermind I went back to the posts and read...all I have to say is INSANE!

REVIEW

came out

So he never even came out after waiting all that time? And someone grabbed him? The pit will be the pit regardless of who is playing, it's all part of it unfortunately some people just choose to take it to extremes.

dancing

You guys were down front to the left when looking at the stage correct? I was half tempted to come down to you guys, it was ridiculous!

REVIEW

disappointed

I have to say what a great venue to see such a great band, however, I was unimpressed at the lack of interaction w/ the band and the crowd and was really shocked that Daughtry didn't thank his opening acts, unless I missed that. Every show I've ever been to (where Daughtry was the opening act twice), the headliner was very gracious and thanked them and boosted their ego, didn't hear that. Daughtry sounded amazing. I was also not impressed how the police implied that it was at Daughtry's request the street be cleared. I can understand to an extent because the crowed was big and they would have been mauled, but the police were rude to say the least. My husband did outsmart them and asked a homeowner if we could perch on their porch and they were fine w/ that but the police didn't like that too much in fact rang the woman's doorbell and asked if she knew us, once she said yes there was nothing the police could do. I guess we just wanted to get a glimpse of them but we got cold and headed out. The 2 opening bands; the first one I think if their sound problem had been hammered out would have been great and the 2nd the keyboardist was awesome, was upbeat positive music and can't wait to hear what their CD sounds like. Overall a good show but a dud of a crowd, I was the only idiot clapping my hands and be bopping in my chair w/ the first two bands (that I could see anyway). So I was disappointed in the majority of the crowd, a little graciousness to the first 2 bands would have been nice, let them know you appreciate them taking taking their time to come out and play, I'm sure they would have liked that, disappointed in the lack of interaction between daughtry and the crowd, disappointed in the city of reading but that's nothing new.

REVIEW

days inn

yeah I was thinking it was in that area which isn't bad don't get me wrong but it's blocks from Al's Diamond Cabaret but far enough that no hoodlems would come up there....if you can't already tell I'm not a fan of Reading, avoid it at all costs, but throwing caution to the wind tomorrow night! You'll be fine there, don't change your reservations honestly. Was shaking my head about the strip club, not your hotel sorry for any confusion or concern I caused you!

REVIEW

Days Inn

I've never stayed there but think it's a typical hotel for the area. And an added bonus, if it's located where I think it is, you'll be blocks away from the biggest strip club in the area...shaking my head.

REVIEW

restaurant

Yeah I'm not sure how close the Ugly O is to the center either but I did just see on the Performing Arts Website there there's a shuttle that goes from Viva (great Italian restaurant) to the Center, check it out since I don't know the specifics. Sorry guys just double checked and that's only for the Jazzfest. There's the Wyndam Hotel as well which in my opinion if the band is staying in town it'd be there, nice bar and restaurant beautifully restored place.

REVIEW

restaurant

Nothing close cept the inside out bar which I've been to once I kinda remember a bar type selection of food, but honestly it's the only place even remotely close and safe that will be open at that hour.
