REVIEW

=)

I'd love to have my first Daughtry experience as a VIP!
Ya know I've been around since the beginning, and haven't been able to get to even one show.
It'd be an honor!

I wrote this a couple days after I got back from the show. This was when I hung out with my AE guys and gals. Thought I'd carry it over here to my new online home:

REVIEW:

OH...MY...GOSH! As you may have guessed from all my previous posts, I went early to the civic center to try to meet Chris. SUCCESS BABY! I met him. So here's how it went:

Got up Thursday morning ((wicked pumped up cause I was listening to AE really loud!)) and got dressed and everything like that. I went to a couple classes, and couldn't concentrate at all knowing that I was going to meet Chris in a few hours!

I leave school around 12:30 and get home around 1. I immediately took a shower and got ready. I was getting REALLY excited now as the seconds passed!

The drive to the civic center was long, but I listened to Chris and absent element the whole way and it kept me going.

So we finially get there and first we can't find a parking spot. The garage was full and the only other option was to pay $10 to park for a couple house. I ended up parking at a meter and walking around back to meet the busses.

We get there, in the back, and see the busses. We walked further and saw about 75 other people waiting to see the idols. ((I’m sure the majority of us were waiting for Chris)) We went up to the other people, got behind the guard rails where we were supossed to be, and waited. We waited...waited...waited....CHRIS! There he was. Chris Daughtry. I was not expecting him yet, but I heard his voice say ever so gently, “Hey there.” I squealed like a little pig! haha. It was so embarressing. I guess it wasn’t that loud, but I couldn’t breathe! Chris Daughtry was standing right in front of me! He walked by but promissed he’d be back. I trusted him. He made a promise and I had faith in him to keep it.

Next came Bucky. He’s such a sweetheart. He went through the crowd and signed for everyone that wanted autographs and he even asked people if they wanted pictures. I gave him my Idol program to sign and then he’s like, “do you want a picture?” I replied, “Sure!” with a huge smile on my face. I was a big Bucky fan because his personality was so genuine, just like Chris’s. I reached out and put my arm around him and we took a picture together. Love ya Bucky!

Elliott, Katharine, Kellie and Taylor all walked by but did not sign any auotgraphs. Elliott and Kellie both promissed that they’d be back, like Chris, to sign and take some pictures. Elliott came back after about a half hour and signed. He’s adorable! He had his girlfriend by his side and they are so cute together. It was nice to see a different side of Elliott. They seemed to be very much in love. Kellie did also come back, but she only was able to sign a few autographs and take very few pictures as the security would not let her.

While I was still waiting for my Idol, I suddenly heard the Soul Patrol go crazy from behind me. There he was. Taylor Hicks. Taylor showed little personality to his fans and could not stay for long. He walked out with his head down and walked over to the fans. He took no pictures with anyone, but tried to sign for everyone. I guess he just does not have much personality or he is very shy around his fans when they are up close. Funny how he doesn’t show that side of himself on stage. Weird.

“Ace! Is that you?” It sure was! Ace Young! He worked his way down the line but there was something even more exciting coming from the other direction. It was Chris! I can see him from a mile away. There was now a crowd at the other end of the street too, so Chris went down there too and took pictures. While I was waiting for the love of my life, I had my picture taken with Ace. I hugged him and held him close. He’s adorable too. He signed my program and hugged me back. He’s too cute.

Are you ready? There was Chris. Standing like 6 inches away from me. I was snapping those pictures so fast! You wouldn’t even believe the pictures I took of him! He’s just so SEXY! I couldn’t take my eyes off of him. As he got closer, I held out my picture/poster thing of him and he signed it. I was going crazy. I couldn’t even breathe. I didn’t end up saying anything to him, but I did get a load of pictures of him and I reached out and touched his arm. He is so amazing.

So there ya have it. I met all the idols except for Mandisa, Lisa and Paris. I was told that Paris had come out before I had gotten there, but I was fine with that. I had seen my Idol and that was all that mattered to me.

So in the process I not only picked up Chris’ autograph, but I also got all of the other top male contestants autographs too. I was very happy and I don’t think anything will change that for a long time.

By this time, the show was about to start. I headed in to the civic center and found my seat. Below are my opinions on the performances:

Mandisa- That girl can sing her head off! Oh my goodness! I thought she was gonna blow the roof off! haha. She’s a great singer and I love her for her positive attitude about everything.

Mandisa and Ace’s Duet- GREAT! I loved the song and I jumped up and yelled the whole time.

Ace- Is he a hottie or what?!?!?! WOW. “Harder to breathe” was terrific and his stage presence is wonderful. He gives equal time and effort to every area of the audience and I think that’s awesome.

Lisa- She’s such a sweetheart. She has a wonderful personality and she can really sing! She’ll definitely go places with a voice like that.

Lisa and Paris’ Duet- “Waterfalls”. Great song. Perfect for the two of them. I think its great how they are best friends. GO PARIS.

Paris- She’s a cutie! I love her new haircut. It makes her look so much older. Her little squeaky speaking voice is cute and then your hear her sing! MAN OH MAN! She can sure “shake what her momma gave ‘er” too! WHOO HOO. She had the whole audience going crazy in love.

Bucky- Did I not tell you before I was a big Bucky fan? I love him. I love his personality, I love his voice, and I love his dance moves! haha. LMAO!!! He can’t dance for crap, but it’s cute to watch! Love you Bucky! I hope you make it far in the music business!

Bucky and Kellie’s Duet- I thought this was a little cheezy, but I still love em both! Kellie is adorable and I’ll always love her. Bucky, “ya better shape up! Cause she needs a man!” I think she wants you, Bucky! haha! Do you think your wife would mind?

Kellie- “Oh my Gaw!” She’s never seen..... A LIFE SIZED CARDBOARD PICKLE! A little girl in the audience had made a cardboard, cut out, life sized pickle and was holding it up. Kellie saw it and walked over and said she’s never see anything like it. AMAZING. She asked the little girl her name and signed the pickle for her. It was so cute. I love Kellie. She did a wonderful job on “I’m the only one” by Melissa Etheridge.

INTERMISSION

Chris- GOING CRAZY! “Whole lotta love” SOOOOOOO SEXY! Is there anything not sexy the sexiest man alive in tight jeans, a tight tee-shirt and cowboy boots singing “whole lotta love” to you? I rest my case. I was jumping up and down, screaming so loud that my throat hurt! Next was “Wanted dead or alive”. Oh my gosh! He turns around and puts his god damn cowboy hat on! **JUMPS FOR JOY** I think I really did die and went to heaven, honestly. HOTTNESS. What more could you ask for, right? There’s more. He continued to sing a third song. “Renegade”! One of my favorite songs of all time! Really, I was on CLOUD NINE and I still am! Chris, YOU ARE AMAZING and I LOVE YOU!

Chris and Elliott’s Duet- “Savin me”. Again one of my all time favorite songs. That one just never gets old, especially when Chris and Elliott are singing it! LOVED IT.

Elliott- Aww! He’s such a great guy! I can’t say anything more than I LOVE HIM. Do you see a pattern going here? haha. You’re too cute, Elliott! Don’t ever change who you really are, cause we love ya! “Moody’s mood for love”. Classic.

Katharine- “Black horse and the cherry tree”, “somewhere over the rainbow”. Kat McPhee on the floor, bare-footed in a long black dress. Hmmm... Not a big McPhee fan, but it’s okay. She has a lot of other fans that support her all the way. I wish her the best of luck.

Taylor- Taylor came out from the back of the civic center and “wowed” the crowd wish his amazing stage presence. I’m not a huge Taylor fan either, but it’s the same thing as Kat. They both have a lot of fans supporting both of them all the way and that’s great.

The Final Songs- All 10 Idol finalists came out for an encore at the end of the show. I was happy because the minute Chris left the stage, I started yelling, “BRING BACK CHRIS!” Oh my gosh. Could I have done anything more to embarrass myself? I don’t think so, but that’s okay. I had a great time. The finalists sang “we are the champions” and “livin in America”. GREAT SONGS and the Idols did wonderful. It was a great way to wrap up the show and say good-bye to little old Maine. *TEAR*

The whole experience was bittersweet. I knew that I had met my Idol and seen the show and I was so happy, but at the same time I knew that it was over. I had looked forward to that day for so long and now it was done.

I can’t wait to get out there for one of your shows, Chris and support you in any and every way that I can! LOVE YA FOREVER BABE! Keep on rockin’ and God bless!

Alright. Here's the story behind this blog:

Many of us on this site are absolutely, 100% hardcore fans. We're the one's that went out on Nov. 20th at midnight to get our copy of DAUGHTRY, we're online everyday reading new and reviews, posting on the forums, making new DAUGHTRY fan friends, and we've just got that hardcore obsession thing going on, right? I know.

Apparently I'm a little on edge today. I've seen a lot of people on here that have become hardcore fans like us. I realize that it's AWESOME that they're new-commers, but I don't think it's fair for someone who's just come along to win the VIP's.

I know this probably sounds really b****y and there's no way to tell how obsessed someone is, but it just doesn't seem right.

I've seen a lot of people post on here and say stuff like that and to be honest, I've thought "oh my gosh. What's up their ass?" and you're all probably thinking the same thing about me, but I've had a fairly crappy day and I needed to vent somewhere.

If you comment on this and say I'm being a b****, I'll totally understand. Be honest... Smiling

Thanks everyone for letting me speak my peace.

Out.

LEELEE.
