My Reviews & Blog
This was my fourth concert and I was not disappointed. Daughtry was amazing as ever. The crowd that was there for the other bands were a little different. Daughtry was the seventh band that played that night. The fifth band was very heavy metal and that crowd had the mosh pits and body surfers. You could tell who the Daughtry fans were as we stood on the sidewalk. As I was watching this crowd I saw a young girl pulled from the front by the security people. She had been hit in the face and was crying. I heard the police ask her what she was doing in there but I didn't hear her response. A few minutes later my trusty sidekick Wendy saw her and her father being escorted behind the fence. Chris came out and gave her a hug and t-shirt. I guess she told the police she had been waiting to see Daughtry and someone went and told the band. This is why I respect them. This is why young people look up to them. This is why parents take their children to see them and this is why we are all fans.
Well, it was another fantastic concert. I never get tired of seeing the guys perform (just like every other fan). It was a beautiful night with a light breeze from the river. People pulled up in their boats along the bank. I had never been to a concert there but I was very impressed. There was so many people we didn't get as close as we wanted. My trusty friend Wendy did flirt her way past the security guards to the front and took some of the best pictures. I was about half way back singing my heart out, off key of course. But when Chris asks the audience to sing I go all out. Just ask the guy who was standing next to me with his finger in his ear.
I am so lucky because I was able to see Daughtry in Birmingham and in Memphis. Both concerts were outstanding! A friend of mine went with me to both shows. The Birmingham concert was out of this world. The crowd was so large and every one was singing every word. We were about the fifth row back and the view was amazing but my cell phone didn't take great pictures. It was surreal to be that close and to see Chris sing. The only small problem was this very nice guy in front of us was tall and it was hard to see around him. But we still got water thrown on us. We were on cloud nine when we left.
