I am a fan (and you should be too), because...Chris is an awesome singer. I was rooting for him the whole time he was on AI. And I was hugely upset when he was voted off. But I think ultimately it was the best thing for him professionally.I purchased his CD online from his previous band, and was very impressed, even though it wasn't my usual taste. And I loved it! Obviously, he was talented enough to be approached by some VIP's in the business. I think he made a good decision not to front Fuel as well. It's hard to be a specific "sound" or voice in an already established band. I was always a big fan of Fuel. But I think it would be odd to have different lead vocals in place of someone else.
I attend a festival type concert near my town every year. And I already had tickets when it was announced that Daughtry would be performing in it as well. I was ecstatic! And when he came on the stage, I was right up front! I got some awesome pictures! And of course Daughtry was incredible live. I would LOVE to see them live again, and I am anxiously awaiting their new CD. I saw an interview that Daughtry did where they said that they were going to go in a new direction with the new CD, a bit of a harder sound, and I can't wait to hear it!!
I am really happy about the success that Chris and his band has found. And I am looking forward to many more years as a fan of Daughtry. ROCK ON!!!!!
