I am a fan (and you should be too), because...Chris and the band totally rock. Your CD is suitable for all ages, especially for one of your biggest, younger fans, my daughter Jenna. She is 5 and is totally crazy about your music (well, and I love it too!). She is too young to fill this out so I am doing this on her behalf (and you know that parents would do anything for their kids so here goes nothing). When Chris was on Idol last year, she would watch her cartoons in another room until he would sing. My husband and I would let her know when he was coming up to perform and she would come out to the family room, dance and listen to him sing, and after he was finished, she would resort back to the other room, happily watching her cartoons. She wanted so badly to go see Chris in person on American Idol!!! I promised her that if he was to ever come to Ohio, I would buy tickets and take her to a Chris Daughtry concert. When the day came to order tickets online, I was there and ready, but before I could confirm, the concert was already sold out. I sat at my desk and cried. I would be happy for just tickets to the concert. It would just be icing on the cake for her to get to meet Chris and the band IN PERSON. (Hey, Chris, c'mon, you don't need "groupies" backstage...you're happily married!!!
I had to buy your new CD the first day it came out and couldn't wait until Christmas to give it to her. I had to put my CD player in her bedroom so she can listen to it whenever she wants. She plays your CD every night when she goes to sleep. When she has friends over, they go back to her bedroom, play dress up, and what is she blaring on the stereo??? None other than Daughtry...did I mention she is only FIVE YEARS OLD! She asks her friends if they want to listen to Chris! It is so cute to see that you are her first "childhood idol"...mine was Kirk Cameron!
I think she picked the better one.
In August 2004, my husband was in an accident and lost his left leg below the knee. Jenna was almost 3 when this happened. He was in the hospital for almost a week, not to mention months of doctors visits, more surgeries, and rehabilitation. Through all of this, Jenna had to stay with relatives from time to time while I became my husbands "Home nurse". I felt horrible taking my daughter to my parents or in-laws because that was time I was losing with her. Not only did she have to adapt to her daddys new lifestyle, she had to cope with seeing him with his ups and downs of getting used to being handicapped. Through all of this, Jenna became my inspiration. If I had to leave the house for a little while, she took over. She became daddy's nurse by getting him extra pillows, covering him up with a blanket if he fell asleep, getting him a drink (even if he didnt ask for one), or just giving him a hug. She adapted better than we could have hoped. She doesnt complain if daddy cant go outside and jump on the trampoline, or go with her to watch her in gymnastics if his leg hurts. She went through alot, fast, and smiled through it all. I would love to give her this as a "thank you" for all she has shown us and for being a wonderful daughter and our little angel from God.
So, please!!!! Pick Miss Jenna Walters...your BIGGEST, youngest, and truest fan for VIP of your March 10 concert at Bogart's in Cincinnati!!!!!
Keep Rocking \,,/
