I know! I have never heard Jon be so supportive of the openers. He genuinely is happy for the guys. They have had some great openers over the years, but this tour has been my ultimate...except for Jon's God awful hair...LOL!!

Can I ask why you have been disappointed with Jon lately?

Video

Of course I had to cut a bunch out so I could upload. Stupid people behind me kept talking during Jon's speech so it was hard to understand.
Also, I apologize for cutting Chris out of the video some. He kept going over toward Richie and the girl in front of me had a sign in my way so I just stayed on Jon.

Anyway, enjoy!

Jon gave another little speech about the guys tonight. Saying they will never again be opening for anyone! They will be headliners from now on. He was very proud of the guys and really wished them well. Then Chris came out to sing Blaze with a rockstar wig on and Jon died laughing. I of course have it on video but will have to upload later.
Great ending to their tour!

I am so sorry you missed Daughtry. I know you are dissappointed and the whole night was craziness!

I totally agree! It is a complete honor for Chris...you can see it in both of their faces when they sing. CHris is estatic and Jon is proud! Still my very fav moment was in Greensboro when they hugged and Jon smiled so big and and said "Welcome Home Baby"!

I have always been amazed how Jon can sing like he does while jumping and bouncing and dancing and doesn't ever sound winded and can hold 14-15 second notes then bounce around again! I can't walk up the stairs at the arenas without practically a heart attack LOL!! It's even more amazing at the stadium shows because the stage is sooooo big and he's running back and forth constantly!
I have noticed that Chris is moving around a lot more than the 1st time I saw him so he's working his way there!

I understand what you mean. They do have a huge catalog to choose from and should pull from there own a little more. I guess Jon justs like to shake things up a little.
I need to quit posting right after I have a gut reaction. I went back and read what I posted and I was on my soapbox again and don't mean to be. I just love Jon's version of Hallelujah so much, I went babbling,,,LOL!

My 2 cents

Ok...I promised myself i would not keep talking about BJ since I am OBSESSED with Bon Jovi and a newbie with Chris but I have to comment on BJ being weak in the encore. I admit, maybe you not being a BJ fan you may not get it but not only is Jon a great showman,he can sing ANYTHING. He is one of a very few performers ever that can sing soul, rock, country, pop, R+B, etc. He puts his heart and soul into everything he sings. Did you actually listen to the words of Hallelujah and see the emotion Jon puts in it. He threw those other songs in for fun! Jon doesn't have to follow a setlist, he shakes it up for his fans. For those of us that have seen him more than a 100 times could care less to ever hear Wanted, Bad Name, Prayer again. We go night after night for the rare things he sings and does. I've seen Jon take requests literally off the floor, jump in the pits with the fans, jump in the front row with the fans, pull people on stage and do Conga line...whatever he is in the mood for. That is why he is the showman he is, that is why his tours are amazing year after year, decade after decade.
Chris is great, but I do agree with Lisa. He needs to work more on the showmanship aspect of connecting with the audience. Jon does have a way of making people swear that he sang that song to them even in the upper balcony. I also agree with Lisa, the 1st time I saw Chris at Tiger Jam until now, there has been a major transformation in Chris. He is moving around the stage more, interacting more, talking more. He is learning from the best of the best about the whole package. The business, the tour life, showmanship, etc. Chris and the guys will have a long career if they listen to Jon's advice.
