Kalamazoo isn't the only one with hotels... depending on where all everyone is coming from... there are hotels in Paw Paw, and if you are coming from north of here, Grand Rapids might be a better idea than Kalamazoo.

Ummmmm.... you might not be finding hotels in Allegan, but I'm pretty sure there are motels there. They wouldn't be anything special, but it's a bed to lay in (as long as you don't find one with critters LOL).

I ha ven't heard of it getting ugly... they still take the tickets one at a time... so they don't have a ton of people rushing down the stairs to get to the track and get the best place in front of the stage. I'll have to see if I can find pictures that I took from the Nickelback concert there... see if they show the place off or not.

I don't know how early they allow lining up... but I know they do allow it. I know that I've had a hard time getting through the mob of people to get to the beer tent and help get it set up before they opened the gates.
It won't be just a straight one line either... There is I believe two sections that they allow people to line up at... and it is just a mob of people.

September can't get here fast enough!! It has been too long!!!! LOL

In the meantime... where is everyone located? Curious how far some are traveling. I'm in Gobles... about 15ish minutes from the Allegan fairgrounds.

Whoever said that parking and traffic is horrendous... IS RIGHT. Seriously... if you weren't planning on getting there real early to stand in line... think twice about it. I've been in line for over an hour just to get to the parking area in the past! It's a bunch of one way streets in that area... and a bunch of houses whose owners charge you to park so you can get out of the car sooner and walk to the fair. Trust me... it is easier to park at those houses rather than inside the fairgrounds. LOL I think the most they usually charge is $5 for parking that I have noticed. Not sure about inside the fair, the only time I park in there is when I'm working the beer tents. LOL

I'm not quite in Allegan.. but about 20 minutes away and UBER EXCITED that they will be at the Allegan fair!!

Any questions... feel free to ask... I'm sure I can help out some. There will be GA and reserved seats... but you definitely want GA. Reserved isn't nosebleed... but it's in the grandstand... and GA is on the dirt track closer to the stage.

I throw in that it's a dirt track... cause I see a lot of people wear nice shoes and they get ruined... if the weather turns rainy the concert still goes on... and you are in one big mud pit. Ask the girl who's treated the track like a slip and slide at a Nickelback concert. LOL
