I've spent the last couple of days trying to come down off my high from the concert! Took my 14 year old son with me. We had amazing seats (5th row right on the aisle).
**I was the "excited" one Chris pointed out about half way through the show :)**
I just can't find the words to describe it! We had tickets to see Daughtry open for Nickleback at Blossom on July 10th. After sitting in traffice for hours, I never got to see them perform at all. I was completely heartbroken. I am now a firm believer that EVERYTHING happens for a reason! I probably would not have gone to the fair show if I had seen them at that concert, and man, am I glad I did!!! Not only did we see a great show, but we were 2 of the lucky ones, we got to meet Chris and Brian!!! The wait by the fence was well worth it. They were both soooo sweet. We talked to Joey as well, but he didn't have a pen to sign an autograph for us Sad
Wish I could write something clever, but my mind is still a blur!!!
All I can think to say is....WOW!!

It's here, It's here!!! See you all tomorrow!!!!! Look for me, I'll be in the 5th Row!!!!!!! *Nope, couldn't stand it, had to go so I hit ebay :-P*

I'm still trying to figure out why they feel the need to have seats for this show, it's not like anyone is going to use them!!!!!

Wait...

on Cuyahoga Falls, OH - Blossom Music Theatre

Please don't mistake my disappointment for bitterness...I am so happy for all of you who made it in time to see the guys. I really thought I was leaving plenty early enough, for some reason though, that one exit was a hella-mess!!! I started a couple of times to try a different exit as well, but I was terrified that if I did, I'd end up even further back in line *We were pretty much on the exit ramp for an hour*. I just didn't want to take the chance. Of course, looking back, I feel stupid. I wasn't real sure how to get in the back way either so...
So, I've decided I'm gonna hit ebay to check for tickets to the show on August 1 at the Ohio State Fair. I missed out on the Grog Shop and that broke me heart, and now this, I just can't take it. The thought of having to wait months or even a couple of years for the guys to come back to the area scares me to death! To miss them 3 times in a matter of months is just heartbreaking!
So, wish me luck *now that I think about it I'm still holding out for VIP for that show*. Hopefully I'll find a nice, wonderful person on ebay who won't take me for all I have!!

Why I'm a Fan

Why I am a fan

Ok, so I've known for some time now *as has everyone who knows me* that I am a huge Daughtry fan. I know every song word for word, I crank up the radio when they come on, they are my screensaver at work...a true fan I am.
But, I really didn't realize how very much Daughtry has affected me until Wednesday, July 10th. I had GREAT pavillion seats to see the guys at the Nickelback concert in Cuyahoga Falls. I made sure to get off work early and even threatened to leave my son's girlfriend behind so I could get there early so I wouldn't miss them hitting the stage. I'd been to many concerts at this venue and had NEVER left so early and never had a problem getting in prior to the start of the show.
Well, after 3 HOURS of sitting in traffic and watching the minutes tick away, I realized that the whole reason I had bought tickets to this show was to see Daughtry. I never heard them play a note, and I was devastated! I honestly wanted to cry and had I not had my son and his girlfriend with me, probably would have! As much as I love Nickelback and Staind, I wanted to go home. Luckily I stayed and at least got to see the guys come out onto the stage during Nickelback's set *it was the highlight of my evening*.
I've realized that I am more than just "a fan". I am much more than that. I am a DAUGHTRY FAN!!!
Daughtry's music has touched my soul, and I am blessed!!

*UPDATE* Decided to buy tickets to see Daughtry in Columbus in early August to make up for missing them. THE BEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!! We were able to meet some of the guys and get a couple of autographs *over the fence*. Chris was just as I imagined him to be, humble and sweet.
It was nice to be able to share something like that with my son. Let's face it, not too many 15 year old boys will hang out with their mom! Smiling Thanks to Daughtry we have a great memory to share! Thank you guys for that!
