I am a fan (and you should be too), because...There aren't many people out there like Chris Daughtry. First of all, I picked him to be in the top of the show the very first time I saw him audition on American Idol. His voice is like no others. As the show went on and America got to see more of his personal characteristics, I grew to like him as a person and not just as a singer. The respect that he shows for his wife and their children is amazing. He truly is a nice guy. He inspires me to appreciate what is really important in life. There were rumors that the band Fuel wanted Chris to be their lead singer, an opportunity that most in his position would jump at. Instead he turned them down, got with the Daughtry band , and started from scratch. That I respect. And look how far they have come in such a short time. I also think it's cool the way Daughtry started off playing the club scene, relating to their fans on a more personal level. Most would have demanded the big stage from the start, but Daughtry earned it. And your fans will remember that forever. I have been fortunate enough to see the Daughtry boys 2 times, once in Chicago at the Double Door, the concert was awesome but the best so far that I've seen was the Rockford show last August. Truly amazing, Second row seats and you guys sounded Great! I also saw Chris on the American Idol tour here in Peoria. We were the ones screaming loudly from the upper bowl section, I'm sure you heard us. We also followed the bus for a short while and saw Chris sitting in the front of the bus...crazy times!!I love DAUGHTRY OFFICIAL, it's cool that you have a way to "communicate" with your fans. Thanks for keeping us up to date on things...I am truly DAUGHTRY'S number one fan and seriously think that I was one of the first to buy the CD, waiting in the Walmart parking lot with my sister , yes we are dorks!
