REVIEW

Last thing...

Daughtry needs to get rid of his Muslim cap he wears early in the show. Leave that thing to bubblegum pop stars like Justin Timberlake. Be proud of your shiny head!!!

REVIEW

hmmm....

I'm still a bit undecided as to how I feel about the show, so let me explain.

The bar band they brought in from Chicago to warm up was terrible. Just terrible. You'd think with the crowds that Daughtry draws they could at least get a band that had a hit or two on their resume. Instead we were "treated" to hear the wails and screeches of one of the worst bands on this planet. Awful.

I saw this on a blog as Daughtry's setlist from a show about a month ago...http://outlawserenade.livejournal.com/211466.html
Does he stick to the exact same list from show to show on this tour, or does he ever switch things up? Also, has he performed "Feels Like the First Time" on this tour yet?...

Traffic isn't a problem. You may have to park a small hike away from the entrance, but there are "Vermont-style shuttles" (hay wagons with seats being pulled by a tractor) to get you to the entry area and back again to your car for free.

The Ben & Jerry's factory (as featured in "me, myself & irene") is a nice trip. You can kill a couple of hours there.

Not doing VIP...I didn't realize this show even existed until probably 8 hours after tickets went on sale, so I'm sitting off to the side...5th row in the bronze section.

As far as camera's go...I'm unsure (sorry)...I'd say to bring at your own risk, as they do randomly pat frisk people though. I did take pics with my cell phone last year there.

the fair is easy to navigate. I've been to a couple of shows there. Last year's Foghat/Blue Oyster Cult/Joan Jett show and in '02 for Def Leppard/Joan Jett. I usually have my tickets ahead of time, so I don't have to mess with the will-call...but I'm thinking they're either at one of the entrance gates or right at the grandstand area. Vermonters are a friendly lot, so there will be someone to direct you where you need to go when you get inside. Being a weekend day, the fair will be crowded...but have no fear, there's a lot for all ages going on...I'd say this is the best fair within a three hour's drive radius. The hynotists's show (Steve Bayner) is not to be missed, as well as the racing pigs they have every year.

If you weren't fortunate enough to get into a colored section and are sitting in the grandstand instead, I suggest you bring field glasses. The grandstand is further away from the stage than you'd expect.

REVIEW

yeah...

who is opening? It better be someone decent, as I passed up the Cheap Trick/Heart/Journey show on this same date in Saratoga for this.
