NC would be terrific- My cousin wants to go with me to a show so we were looking into dates in NC too! I have family there- so depending on where the show is- free food and a place to stay LOL!

I am in over-load too- but my page was pre-pimped.

I did take my favorite concert pics to wally world and had ALL of them enlarged to glossy 8x10's and I have enough to cover my wall.

HEHEHEHE

We should talk about the NC thing if you are serious- I'd love to take my cousin- she needs the break so bad- her husband was in a terrible car accident and was comatose and near death for so long- now that he is home he still needs constant care- she never left his side during the whole ordeal and now she spends every moment working and caring for him.

I think she deserves a nice night of Daughtry-fied bliss.

Show too short????

I don't get this... yeah it was great and I would have LOVED to have listened to Chris sing for another three hours... but...

They only have the one cd... and that only has 12 songs on it (not counting the bonus acoustic tracks)... so at say 3-4 minutes a song... you do the math...

He did most the cd and a cover song...

They had another show the next day in Missouri and had just come from a show in Alabama...

I don't think anyone could expect them to just sing and play endlessly...

They put on a helluva show- full of passion and energy-

I sure as heck couldn't keep up that kind of intense pace and especially not night after night with such a full and hectic tour schedule.

I was thrilled with the show... we sat 4th row... I had no problem hearing - and it sounded great.

I did hear that those sitting near the fountain area had trouble hearing.

It seems to me other that those "too short" posts... the main gripes had more to do with Riverbend than with Daughtry.

BEST NIGHT EVER!

This was my first show... and I am soooo much more addicted to DAUGHTRY than before... it's scary! LOL

I had the BEST time! I met some really great DO members and made some new friends too!

I am so hoarse today and my throat aches- but it was worth it- soooo worth it.

MY ears are still ringing- but that is ok- they are ringing to DAUGHTRY after all!

Had my beads on - till they turned my neck green at least- oooops!

I spent the day recalling and recovering... it was just soooooo AWESOME!

The guys put on a GREAT show and Chattanooga will never be the same!

I hope they will come back again soon! I am going to have to start traveling more I guess.

THANK YOU AGAIN AMANDA for the amazing 4th row seat! YOU ARE THE BEST!

I didn't win the lottery with that ticket btw but there is always next time!

I got some amazing pics so I will have to go see how to post them here.

Don't tell my family- but it was my BEST night ever... LOL LOL LOL

The day was HOT so freaking hot... but the NIGHT was even HOTTER cuz DAUGHTRY ROCKED THE HELLOUTTA CHATTANOOGA TENNESSEE!!!!!

Just like we knew they would!

I heard that they are giving away an autographed DAUGHTRY guitar. Go to the 105.5 tent to find out the details- as I missed part of the announcement thanks to my kids fighting in the car! LOL

ALSO...

Don't give up hope on meeting The GUYS....

A girl today shaved her head and ate doggie doo to meet Blake Shelton tonight after the show... it was a radio contest.... EWWWWW.

ANYHOO... much as I love DAUGHTRY I will not be eating SH--- for anybody. YUCK!

Rhythm and Brews is right outside the gate somewhere I think. I have never been there.

VIP has already been given away for those of you just getting in on this event forum.

It was tickets and a signed poster in case you missed it.

Security is pretty tight after the events ... and the guys have a show in Missouri the next day I believe... so they might have to hit the road soon after Riverbend...

I guess meeting them is a possibility... but I am not holding my breath.

OF course if the radio stations are letting people eat poo to meet tonights performer... ANYTHING is possible. LMAO

HOPE TO SEE YA THERE- I will be wearing my green beads.

Jenn- there will be a lot of kid type activities- face painting etc. It should be fine for you little one. I would take mine too- but he is soooo hard to keep up with... and I really need a break!

As far as seats and sitting in your lap... when I called and asked they told me I didn't have to purchase a seat for the little one and that he could sit in my lap (but even though he is only 4 he looks like he is 6 since he is sooo big/tall). The seats are VERY close together. I knew he'd be crawling not only all over me but also all over everyone next to us. I just decided to make this my "mom's night out" instead. LOL

Stephanie... you said you were about 45 minutes away? Where are you coming in from? I'm about the same distance away too. I'm in Dunlap.

Can't wait to see you all at the show... man I keep thinking my clock is broken... slow slow slow goes the passing minutes. I am in hyper-drive here! LOL

Why I'm a Fan

I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...

I have yet to find a band that is as addictive as Daughtry... a voice that is as amazing as Chris Daughtry... and a passion for the song/music that is so intense you can't help but FEEL it too.

When I heard a song called "So I Lie Awake" by a band called Absent Element many years ago I was hooked. I first heard them when in NC and I was able to listen to the cd. I went home and found the band website and ordered myself a copy of the cd right away! I also joined the forums at the AE site and tried to keep track of when they would be performing and where.

These guys were from NC... so surely... during a trip home to Elkin, NC... I'd be able to get a chance to take in a show. No luck. I just couldn't get it worked out. I was stuck in TN. I settled for wearing out the cd instead. People were constantly asking me, "Wow, who is that?"

Then one day... who should appear on American Idol... but the lead singer of this awesome band that I had been burning up my cd player with! I don't usually watch IDOL but I was glued to it for that season... right up until he was voted off. Blessing in disguise... we all know that. It was one of those "Thank God for unanswered prayers" moments. We all knew that Chris was going to make it without that title anyway.

So yes, I was a fan even BEFORE American Idol. I belong to the forums and the fan sites and the boards. If it's about Chris and the guys... I am there. Sometimes, I don't say much and just read the posts and the news... but I'm there.

There is a definite magic when the right singer and the right song and the right band all come together... and I loved Chris backed with his old band, and yeah, I love him backed by the new band too. Why? Because, Chris has an amazing voice. It is so strong and powerful and you can just feel the passion he has. It's that passion that makes it work no matter who's backing him. You can tell that the guys have a good chemistry too. It always looks like they are just having soooo much fun performing!

It doesn't matter if you're rocking to a hard hitter like "What I Want" or slowing things down with a song like "Home" Chris makes you feel the mood, feel the music. He captures you in a way that so many artists only wish they could! With amazing song writing abilities and a knack for making you feel every word of every song you can't help but be moved by his talented vocals and mesmerized by his charisma.

Now you wouldn't expect someone who has this rockin' lifestyle and incredible success to be the "family man next door" in today's day and times, but Chris is. How can you not be a fan of a guy who manages to not only chase his dreams but capture them... all while keeping his family first. It's very refreshing, in my opinion.

Yes... I am a fan. Yes... I am wearing out the cd. Yes... it is on constantly at my house, in my car, when I'm at the computer. I take it everywhere with me. I lose my car keys at least once a day. I've misplaced money on more than one occasion. I ALWAYS know where my Daughtry and AE cd's are though... always. A fellow DO member recently gave me the much sought after Cadence songs- whoo hoo (and thanks Tamika!) now I have even MORE to obsess about! My MP3 is basically an all Chris Daughtry-Zone.

I figure I am driving everyone around me crazy with my constant playing of "Breakdown" and my screen savers, and my icons, and my ring-tones, and my total Daughtry obsession... so what... I see them out of the corner of my eye... singing along... I see them checking out the pictures on my pc... I know they are taking my cd and playing it when I am in the shower... oh yeah they are busted... they just don't know it yet.

My son (15) is all into his rock music and his guitar... and his "groups" and nothing Mom does is ever cool, right? Well, he sure does ask me a lot about Daughtry these days... I know he likes it... he just can't admit it!

My other son (4) does an awesome Chris impression. I can't imagine why... couldn't be that he has seen a whole lot of Chris around our house... could it? He doesn't quite know his abc's all the way through but he does know the words to "It's Not Over". Go figure.

If my husband is jealous of the other man in my life- he doesn't say- but I caught him singing along too. I think we're cool. I was watching the countdown (guess who was number one) when out of the blue he said, "I don't think I'd look good with a shaved head... my head's too lumpy." I love him anyway. It's the thought that counts after all.

Daughtry's just infectious like that. My family and my friends... they may roll their eyes and say, "There she goes again." when I pop the cd in... but they are loving it and I know it! MY grandmother- yes that's right my grandmother LOVES CHRIS!

I just got to see my first ever DAUGHTRY CONCERT at Riverbend (Chattanooga TN) 2007.

It was the BEST night of my life- amazing- awesome- and all over much too soon! I am hooked... I found myself thinking of the next place they would be and if I could make it there in time to see them again! Chris sounds so good live- and he really interacts with the crowd. I loved watching him sing with so much passion. The guys really ROCKED too. Brian, Josh, and Joey were so energetic! I am not sure who was filling in for JP and I missed getting to see him but the show was still really good. Joey came out after and did a really quick pic and autograph session. He was so funny and you could just tell he was loving "hamming it up" for all of us. I thought it was super-sweet for him to do that.

I can't wait- and pray for- another chance to see them live again! I keep gushing to anyone that will listen about how fabulous it was. I guess soon people will see me coming and run!

I made some good friends here at DO who I got to meet at the show and that was fun.

I am a fan... because DAUGHTRY brings all kinds of people together that might otherwise never meet and miss out on a great new friendship.

I am a fan... because I know talent when I see and hear it!

I am a fan... because I like it when someone with amazing talent and incredible success can maintain the "ordinary guy" attitude.

I am a fan... because it is refreshing to see the guys in the band make so much effort to please the fans. No one else I know will actually ANSWER their myspace messages.

I am a fan... since the moment I first heard Chris sing... when I first got my AE cd... through American Idol... through standing in line to get my Daughtry cd... until forever... I will still be a fan.

I am a fan... because DAUGHTRY ROCKS... what better reason is there?

I am and always will be a Daughtry fan... and you should be too.
