I am a fan (and you should be too), because...how can you not be? Like most everyone I know, I have been a fan since AI (sorry, Chris, I know and I have moved on and am riding the wave!) But, it still needs to be said. I have been into music my whole life.. However, I haven't been this passionate about a singer or group since Bon Jovi back in the bar room days.
I am not your typical AI fan. As a matter of fact, I never liked the show. But, all that changed for me during Season 5. Out of boredom I started watching the show as way to pass to the time as I recuperated from open heart surgery. And as a way to bond with my Mom. I remember watching the auditions and thinking 'this guys got it'.
As time went on I become a true fan. I did something I had never done before. I signed on to message boards seeking information. I listened to and bought all his previous stuff. (AE and Cadence). But, I think most importantly, I built friendships. I know its crazy. Its true though. I think that the qualities people most admire in Chris such as his devotion to his family, friends and his humbleness foster those friendships.
And now we have this whole new chapter. Daughtry. I waited like everyone else to hear the album. To find out who were the members of the band. I couldnt be happier. I got to see them for their first T.V. appearance on GMA, and I have to say it was an experience I will never forget. I love the music, the passion.
But, more than anything I am so grateful to Chris and Daughtry for the great friendships I have made.
I cant wait to see what the next chapter brings!
