Why I'm a Fan
I'm a fan (and you should be too) because he is the best thing to rock in a long time! I don't buy CD's that often because usually there are only a couple good songs and the rest is crap, but the Daughtry CD doesn't have one bad song on it; they are all great! It is the only CD that plays in my car. He is first thing I hear when I turn the ignition key and the last thing I hear when I turn it off. I even wait for the end of a song before I take out my key. Plus, I am singing as loud as it is playing! It is so loud when I drive that it drowns out my own voice, thankfully, and I know people stare at me, but I don't care. I smile and sing like no one is watching. I have been a fan since I saw him on AI. He was my favorite at the auditions. Not only do I love his music, I love his voice. Whenever I hear it, I get so excited and pumped up! No other singer has done that to me since Sammy Hagar (that is obviously a long time, so yes I am over 40). I told my kids when he was on AI that he is going to win. Well, luckily he didn't, despite all my voting, or else he would not be making the music he wanted which proves that when one door closes, another opens. I also admire how he loves his wife and kids and how they love and support him. That is when he really won me over as a fan. I am not just a fan of his and the band, but I am also a fan of his family. He would not be able to do the tour he is doing without the love and support of his family so my heart goes out to them. I can't wait to see him live again because he rocked and I hope that he can take time to be with his family soon. To Deanna and family, I want to thank you for sharing him with us! Favorite Lyric
My favorite lyric is the whole song of "What I Want", I just can't pick one part. It reminds me of when I met my husband. I was from the wrong side of the tracks so to speak. He was from a wealthy family, I was from a family on welfare. He loved me and wanted to be with me despite all the "wrongs" with me. I was a girl with a reputation and he barely had a reputation to talk about. We have been together 21 1/2 years.

I also love the lyrics in "Home", "Breakdown", and "What About Now" when Chris sounds like he is talking to God. I knew when I started listening to him that some of the things he said sounded like he was speaking to a higher being. I did a little research and discovered that he has been in a Christian rock band called "Absent Element". I knew it. It makes me appreciate him as an artist even more.
DAUGHTRY ROCKS OREGON!
I was 12 rows from the front and I loved it! I was one of the few people in the front section standing the whole time singing at the top of my lungs to every song! My friend and I sat in the middle of old people with kids. I am 40 and these people were like 50-60 and there with like their grandkids. Two of them next to me had ear plugs! We didn't care. We stood up, danced, sang, screamed, and had a great time! I felt like I was a teenager again seeing Sammy Hagar or AC/DC. I kept texting my husband with pictures. He said he was glad I was having a good time and to keep my shirt on. He was talking about the shirt I had made that was black and on the front it said "DAUGHTRY IS WHAT I WANT" and the back had "DAUGHTRY" like his tattoo, and then "2007 summer tour". About the concert, everyone that goes to the LB Day Ampitheater knows that it is in the middle of a housing development and that there are noise restrictions. It sucks, but we live with it. If we love a band enough, we go. All of us that were there know it was tamer than other shows, we expect it when we go there. The next time he comes we know we will be seeing him in the Rose Garden, so it is OK! So regardless of the restrictions on loudness, it was still a rockin' concert! One of the best I have been to in a long time! Rock on Daughtry!
