I am a fan (and you should be too), because...DAUGHTRY ROCKS!!
Being a music lover & long ago wanna be singer, I was thrilled 6 years ago when a new show, American Idol, was unveiled. Over the next 4 seasons, I saw a lot of talent presented, but was never compelled to do much more than watch. Segue to Season 5 - Denver Auditions- and a very unassuming guy named Chris Daughtry. The moment I saw him I knew AI would never be the same. From "The Letter" to "A Little Less Conversation", I realized Chris would be a force to reckon with. He was spot on every night! No matter what theme or genre he was restricted to, Chris was able to pull it off with amazing style. After his elimination, I was left to wonder what would happen to this rocker I had grown to love. Having found Chris' hometown band, Absent Element, I knew this wouldn't be the end for him. Knowing big things were on his horizon, I eagerly anticipated a CD release. In early fall, when the CD release was announced and a new band was set in place, rock music was forever changed. Never could I have imagined that hearing Chris sing could get any better. Enter Josh Steely, Joey Barnes, Josh Paul & Jeremy Brady, four of the greatest unknown musicians to hit the rock scene in a long time. Listening to the CD is nothing compared to hearing the guys live! Chris, Josh, Joey, Josh & Jeremy were able to bring amazing personality & stage presence to a CD (made with studio musicians) that I didn't think could get any better. These are guys that could be like my friends, playing in dives every weekend to make a few bucks, never realizing their full potential. They are special and just like Chris, deserve every great thing that is happening to them! Now, it's not all about a man named Chris Daughtry, it's about a BAND named DAUGHTRY!! With the addition of Brian Craddock and his amazing guitar skills, I know DAUGHTRY will be able to continue rocking the house where ever they are. I can't wait to hear what's coming up next. DAUGHTRY has proven they have the staying power and I know the sophmore CD will prove to the world that, "IT'S NOT OVER" - DAUGHTRY ROCKS!!!!
