I am a fan (and you should be too), because...I have been following Chris since AI, and from the first time I heard him sing in the auditions, I was blown away. I loved that he came out there and was completely original and not afraid to show a different style of singing when no one else had really done that before him. I also loved seeing how sweet he was about his wife and children....what a guy! Every week, I was excited to see what he would sing next, and I have to say that I loved hearing him sing slower, softer songs, too. There was something vulnerable about it when he did those (but I loved the rock stuff, too!). I was completely shocked (as was the entire country) when he was voted out, but I wasn't worried because I knew he was going to be a huge success either way. And I was right! I bought the album as soon as it came out, and I love the entire album. I listen to it all of the time...it is amazing. I have a hard time choosing a favorite song because I really like all of them. Each of them has its own sound and style, and the lyrics are great in the songs. What an awesome debut album! My 4 year old dughter also loves the album and requests songs when we listen to the CD! Her favorite is There and Back Again! There are not too many CD's out there that you can purchase and sit and listen to it from beginning to end without skipping a song, and this is one of those albums. Absolutely amazing! I cannot wait to hear these songs live and in person (if I can get some tickets to a show). I will continue to follow the band and look forward to getting to see them on the road!
