I am a fan (and you should be too), because...Chris is an extraordinary writer and performer. The first time I heard him sing, I was absolutely breathless...I couldn't stop staring at the TV. His performance was captivating, and so powerful that it seemed surreal. He has a way of telling a story when he sings. When you listen to his songs, you become part of them, and you feel every emotion that he feels. It's like reading a great book that you just can't put down... You just can't stop listening!! Every time I hear something new, I get so excited and wait for what's coming next. Also, my family loves the band Daughtry. My six year old sings along with the CD every time I put it on in the car. It was really amazing to hear him sing "Crashed Into You" the first time, word for word. My jaw dropped!! He could barely write his first name, yet he could sing every song on the Daughtry CD. Who knew his attention span was so long...I never witnessed it before. If only Chris could come by the house and sing requests...homework would be done, dinner eaten, baths taken...back to reality!!(a girl can dream, right?? ) Anyway, Daughtry is one of a handful of bands that my kids and I can enjoy together. It's rare to find a group with enormous talent, that writes and sings about relevant issues in a positive way. I hope they make music for a very long time to come.
