I am a fan (and you should be too), because...Chris Daughtry just amazes me. Living in PA, I never heard of him until AI, like most of us outside of NC. His talent surpasses everyone else who ever came out of that show. I watched all of season 5, and I have no desire to watch it ever again. I have found my idol. It's so refreshing to see a wonderful family man remain so humble throughout this experience. Chris could have taken his career in many different directions -- solo artist, headliner of another established band, etc. BUT he remained true to himself. He sees himself as a lead singer of a rock band, and that's exactly what he did. He selected 4 guys that really complement him and his style of music. They sound amazing together, and they've really come together in a short amount of time. I love the fact that Daughtry's music & lyrical content is clean and relates to everyday life -- relationships, love, redemption, mistakes, problems in the world. I visit daughtryofficial.com and mrdaughtry.com daily just to get my "fix." Besides raw talent and grounded values, let's face it, Chris (and the rest of Daughtry, for that matter), are not hard to look at!!! If I don't catch performances on TV as they're broadcasted, I rely on the internet to get my fill. I can't count how many times I've cried just watching Chris, and now Daughtry, perform. I really can't explain why. When I pre-ordered my CD, and did not receive it the day it was released, I went to WalMart to get another one. That dedication page in the back just killed me. Chris is so loving and really knows what's important in life. I listened to it for hours & fell asleep with my headphones on. I feel so proud of Chris, Josh, JP, Brian, & Joey, and how far they've come. I will be a fan for life now. I'll never forget that I found out I was pregnant shortly before the DC concert. That didn't stop me though. I waited in line for 12 1/2 hrs that day to make sure I got a good spot. Landing in the front row was WELL worth the swollen feet and bouts of nausea throughout the day! I'd do it all over again & again!
