I have been a Chris Daughtry fan since his audition on American Idol. I have never watched a full season of Idol. To be honest my two sons and I always watch the auditions because we would find it funny on how many people actually thought they sounded good. When Chris came on to audition his voice blew us away, you could see a star from that moment. I at that point became a huge Chris Daughtry fan, watched every week and voted continually because I wanted Chris to win.
The night that Chris was voted off, I was so upset, my younger son who was ten at the time cried because he could not believe that Chris would not win. We now see that it was a blessing for Chris that he was voted off, he would not be able to do what he is doing now.
My fiancé knew how much my boys and I loved Chris so he bought us tickets to see the American Idol Concert at the Continental Airlines Arena in Rutherford NJ. When Chris came on the crowd was so loud, louder than they were for anyone else, and rightfully so. After Chris performed, we left because he was the reason we went in the first place.
When the Daughtry cd came out I purchased it right away, and once again, Chris blew me away. I continue to be a fan today because of Chris’ amazing voice.
I have been a Bon Jovi fan since I was 14 years old and saw them at Giant’s Stadium last summer. This November they came to the Prudential Center in NJ but I decided against going…Until… I heard that Daughtry was the opening act. I immediately got tickets for this event, and could not wait to go. The night of the concert Daughtry put on such a great show, and I wished that they could have been on longer. I have to admit that I did not stay for the entire Bon Jovi concert because I really only went to see Daughtry. In my opinion, they put on a better show that Bon Jovi did.
I just recently saw Daughtry again on Friday 12/7 in Tom’s River, the two-hour drive each way was definitely worth it. Chris had stated that he had a cold and even sick he still had the most amazing voice I have ever heard. The more I see Daughtry, the bigger fan I become. I can guarantee great things will come for Daughtry because they are such terrific guys, they truly care about their fans and show appreciation to each one of us, and I am grateful for that. Daughtry Rocks, and I will continue to be a fan, today, tomorrow, always.
