I am a fan (and you should be too), because...like so many others, I have been a fan of Chris Daughtry from day one. My admiration started with his voice. There was just something different about it that I felt had never been heard on American Idol. And I won't lie, yes, his looks help in the admiration department. Then they showed his back story and his appeal grew. Here's this young man dedicated to his wife & kids, that's not something you see very often in the music industry nowadays. But that is where similarities end with most fans. I think I am one of the few that did not cry when he got voted off. Yes, I was a little sad but I knew he was so much better off having not won & being tied to the AI contract. I knew he would go on to do much better things on his own.

And do much better things, HE HAS!!! His CD is one of the very few CDs I can listen to over & over the whole way through without getting sick of it. I love the variety of song types. There is something for everyone.

The band.....how can you be a fan of Daughtry & not mention the band. Josh Paul: LOVE his energy on stage, that you can see that he truly enjoys what he is doing. Joey: Weird faces and all, he gets into the music. And he is wonderful with all his added vocals. Josh Steely: Another one that you can just tell he is loving what he is doing. Brian: Not quite sure on him yet. I haven't had the honor of seeing him perform the way I have all the other guys. But from the little I have seen, he is truly talented.

The last thing I need to mention is the admiration the guys have for their fans. They are all so open & truly care about their fans. I love that they take the time to talk to us and listen to us. It shows that they are in this because they love the music & love what they do not just because they want the fame and all that goes with it.

I also want to thank Chris.....because of him & his many fansites, I have made new friends. People I would have never known had it not been for what he has done.
