I can hardly wait until March 13th. I was so psyched to get a ticket to the concert - a floor seat, even! Admittedly, I'm not one to go to many concerts (and the last one that I attended was in 2005 when U2 came to the city for Vertigo), so I'm looking forward to rocking out with Daughtry and Bon Jovi in just 37 days.
Admittedly, I was on the fringes of the Daughtry fan-base until I first heard "Over You" on the radio. The lyrics of the song echoed the way I was feeling, after a break-up. It connected with me. Chris's voice reached out to me, and I realized that I was not the only one to feel so sad after the end of a relationship. I also realized that I was stronger than I thought, and that while I missed my ex and the closeness we shared, I was over him. Since that moment, I've been a vocal supporter of Chris and the boys in Daughtry -- and I can't wait to see them live (for the first time) in Toronto on March 13. I'll be cheering them on, singing right along, from Row 25.
