Like most of Chris' fans, I first saw Chris' performance in American Idol. I never used to watch the show, but hey,my brother who does watch was watching it one day and I just happened to see Chris performing "Hemmorhage". I was.. well, hooked. He just amazed me as he stood out among the rest of the contestants with his style and his voice. Then I started to watch every episode of American Idol, and I was so hoping that Chris would win. I cried when he was voted off, and I literally hit myself for not living in America, which was why I couldn't vote for him. But enough about that.
After the whole competition, I was waiting for Chris' album, and i had NO idea that he had formed a band and released an album until around last month, as the album was only released around that time here in Singapore. I was so excited and immediately bought it. And when I listened to it, somehow I felt glad that he didn't win American Idol after all. The album was simply great and I loved every single one of the songs. I just can't get tired of listening to the songs, and the CD has been in my playlist ever since. The fact that Chris co-wrote most of the songs is a plus, too. The songs aside, I've watched videos of the band performing live, and I must say that they simply rock. Their performances are good and everytime, the crowd just went crazy. I wished they would come here to perform in Singapore, but I know that it's as good as impossible.
Well, just wanna say that DAUGHTRY is definitely one of the best bands ever, and I'll be waiting for the second album. Rock on! =)
I didn't get to go. =(
I'm only 16 so I didn't get to see them perform at the Powerhouse. It's very disappointing, but it's great to hear that a lot of fans got to see them. I did get their signatures today, though. Good job, guys! =)
