I'm a 50 year old rocker and retired Marine and I'm hoping CD can help my family fill a void. First of all I think CD is an amazing artist and I will focus on his song 'Home'. I live in a small military town in NC and last year we lost a young man to the war. With the utmost respect towards him, his family and all those hurt by human losses from the war I will tell the story. Chris (same first name) Honaker was born on a military base to a Marine dad and was a friend of my daughter's and went to the Community Center my wife manages. He was a high spirited kid with a good sense of humor and well-liked by many good friends. Chris was told many times (with Love) not to skateboard in the community center. Chris joined the Army and deployed to Afghanistan with a task force and gave the ultimate sacrifice on July 5, 2007, at age 23, when he came under enemy fire.
