I am a fan (and you should be too), because...This band is amazing!
I remember sitting there when American Idol came on and Chris' audition came on. I was mezmerized by his voice. Such a pure and warm sound. As the show progressed, I watched with such pride. Don't ask why, I've not met this man. But I honestly got tears in my eyes because this one person could evoke such emotion in me. Music has always been a love of mine and seeing people who are passionate about this craft inspires me.
When I saw that Chris was voted off I shut the t.v. off and was so incredibly upset that people couldn't see such a beautiful talent. I had heard rumors of the whole "Fuel" thing, and had hoped that Chris would do something on his own. Write his own and collaborate and tell the masses of the stories that run around his and their heads.
Sitting online one night I had heard this voice come across my internet radio (couldn't tell you which one for the life of me) and I just stared at the screen. (it was hidden in the background) This quizzical look came across my face and all I could think was.."I know that voice"!!
Searching for the player...I found it and saw the name of the band...DAUGHTRY
OMG, I'd never been so excited. To see that Chris had finally done it...had gotten with some INSANELY talented musicians and formed what would be the next iconic band!
I searched the net for anything and everything DAUGHTRY...I've been addicted ever since.
Each song seems so personal and can be interpreted in different ways depending on what the person is feeling the first time they hear the bass drop, the beat hit, the guitar chord and the first note uttered. PURE Joy!
Thank you to Chris, Joey, Josh S, JP and Jeremy (edit)Welcome Brian, for putting out such a wonderful piece of musical art. This CD never leaves my car and is always the first thing I listen to on my iPod.
