I am a fan (and you should be too), because...Chris is an immensely talented young man and his music is moving as well as timeless. But more than that, Chris is a true gentleman, a man of faith and a devoted husband and father. He cannot help but succeed given his deep rooted family values and his unerring ability to remain true to his convictions..........truly an artist to be admired for years to come!

That's WHY I'm a fan.........now let me tell y'all HOW I became a fan:

It was the season of Idol just after Hurricane Katrina devastated us down here in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. I lost my home and business in New Orleans and was living in Mandeville, LA with my son and daughter-in-law and two of my grandchildren when season 5 began. I was working 3 jobs, and just happened to be "home" the night that Chris did Wanted Dead or Alive. I was passing through the den and heard the song, which is a favorite of mine. I looked at the tv and saw Chris for the first time....I stopped dead in my tracks because he looked SO much like my youngest son, who is a New Orleans policeman, and who in those days was working extremely hard in the city so I wasn't seeing him very often. So, I stopped and listened to Chris sing, and I was HOOKED!

In the weeks to follow, I looked forward to seeing and hearing Chris each week because he reminded me of my son and because I so enjoyed hearing him sing. Slowly, my despondency over my loss began to lift the more I learned about Chris as a person and the more I heard his amazing voice. The week he sang It's a Wonderful World, I knew he'd be a big star someday because he could sing ANYTHING well! I knew he deserved to win AI, but I didn't think it would happen because I was a Bo Bice fan in season 4 and I felt that America would never vote a Rock singer as their Idol. Still, when Chris was eliminated I cried my heart out like so many of us did. But it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened...........LOOK at him NOW!

So, I have to give Chris credit for helping me to heal in the weeks and months after Katrina......he gave me something to look forward to each week with his stellar performances, and then after he was eliminated, waiting for the album to come out. It was well worth the wait, too, as we all can attest to! And what's more, I have met so many wonderful fans throught the sites......Chris and his music have brought together people from all over the WORLD who share a love of his singing and who have a deep regard for him as a man. How wonderful to have such a talent! Thank you, Chris, for everything
