The BEST way for us to support our guys is to BUY THEIR ALBUMS and GO TO THEIR CONCERTS....we all have the LTT cd, I know, and we all try to get to as many shows as time, location and $ allow us to, but we can do MORE.....we can all go out and buy another cd...hell, we don't even hafta go OUT...we can do it from our pc's......
I didn't even bother to watch the PCA show....I knew our guys weren't gonna win.....awards are about the flavor of the month....the general public is fickle and easily distracted....I mean, COME ON, Taylor Swift is cute and perky, but there is NFW she's a better singer/entertainer than Carrie Underwood!
And what has winnin a Grammy done for Amy Winehouse? Anyone heard anything (other than fistfights and drug overdoses) about HER lately? See what I mean?
An artist's longevity in the music business is ALL about album sales.....you can win every award that comes down the pike, but that ain't gonna mean squat if your bottom line doesn't make your label happy.....so, if we want OUR guys to be around for a long, long time, we gotta spring for more cd's and more shows.(tell all our friends, too!).....really, how much is THAT gonna hurt us?
