Meet and Greet with Daughtry

I want to hear about everyone's meet and greet experience with Daughtry.

When do they do meet and greets?

We are trying to find the pics from our meet and greet. They gave us a Flickr website and said 24-48 hours and they would be posted. It's now 5 days later and we can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know where they are? I'm getting very disappointed Sad. Daughtry was awesome but the staff was b****y and rushed us. The band was so genuine and very welcoming though. I love Daughtry!

Well, obviously I got to meet with the band. I got to have Chris in my arms. I still cannot believe it! This was my "experience".
My husband and I arrived at the Bridgeport, Conn arena at 1:30pm. We were the 3rd people on line at the door, which were supposed to open at 4pm on this day, Nov 17, 2009. At 4:30 the doors were still not open. It wasn't until around 4:45 that they finally did open. The security agent that was standing in front of us, was searching the people in front of us on the line. At that time a second security agent came out and the people that were at the back of the line came running up along side us and created a second line. The agent that was checking the second line was checking the spectators with the "wand". As he was doing this, he was letting them into the arena. We were STILL standing OUTSIDE waiting for the security guard to finish up checking out the pocketbooks of the ladies in front of us on line, MIND YOU NOW, we were 3rd in line. By the time we got to go in, all the people from the back of the line were already on line inside the arena and when we got on line there, we wound up at the back of the line...very, very, very unfair. We got to the arena extra early just for this purpose. As we were led into the stadium where the band was "sound checking" we were behind everybody who had been let in, in front of us. I could hardly see the band as I am only 5 feet tall and everybody in front of me was taller. I was very unhappy about this. These people were in the spot we would have been in, had it not been for the security guard taking his time in letting us in at the door to begin with! I could not get the pictures I wanted to at the sound check. What was our purpose in getting there extra early only to have it ruined by this security guard who was clearly taking his time about letting us in. I need to see this band again as I am a real big fan. I have complained to RCA but I have gotten no response. When I entered the area where the band was waiting for the pictures, I saw Chris slapping hands with "Steely" over somthing they were laughing about. I shook hands with the band members and positioned myself along side Chris and said to him, "come on, I want this to come out nice", he replied back, "it always does". I was so thrilled he spoke to me. We were instructed on line that we were not to "kiss" them otherwise we would be evicted from the event. A kiss on the cheek, it was disappointing that I couldn't do that, while I understood every reason why not to. We went to the VIP lounge thereafter and Josh Paul was there taking pictures with the fans, I of course also got a picture with him. I was extremely disappointed that Chris himself was not at the VIP lounge. We paid out a lot of money for this event, and it would have been nice to see Chris at the VIP lounge. I thought this was part of the package. You disappointed me so...still in all, I will do this again on your next tour, and hope only for the best. I love you guys. Your fan...

I purchased my first meet and greet pass ever to meet Daughtry! I had purchased this way in advance and had been looking forward to this for 3 months. I was a little disappointed when I arrived at the box office lobby and found out that I could not get an autograph from Chris! First of all there were six of us there for the VIP experience. I chose Jonesboro for my VIP experience since it is a little smaller arena. JP did come out for a few minutes and was very nice but none of the other guys never did. I did get my autograph from Chris after show when I had to stand out in the cold for over an hour and it was worth it to me but on the other hand I was one of the six people who had purchased a VIP pass and felt I should not have had to go to this degree for an autograph. Very frustrated and disappointed by this completely. Will think twice before i purchase VIP again and I am a huge Daughtry fan and have been since day 1! These other people who were out there also got autographs and pics so what did I get for my VIP that was really above and beyond this? I guess I spent extra money for nothing is how I feel! Well it really wasn't for nothing I did get A $155.00 hug from Chris but my daughter got what I got for free by waiting over an hour in 28 degree weather and that was very thoughtful of Chris to come out and greet the fans who were waiting with us and give them their autograph! Thank You Chris! You still rock in my book!

I always had a great experience! I appreciate the band for doing it and they are always so nice! Smiling

Before they offered the VIP Package, they used to do a VIP contest. Now there is no VIP contest. The only way to do meet & greet is to purchase the VIP Package, so you're all set there. As far as a hug from Chris, they do have some rules in place for the sake of the guys protection, but when you meet these guys they are nicer and more down to earth than you could ever imagine. These guys are very generous with each and every fan they meet, so don't worry about hugs. I promise you will be so happy just to meet these wonderful guys. Smiling

I'm confused...are the VIP tickets different from "meet & greet"? I'm reading above that the VIP was "won". Do I have to win something in order to meet Daughtry? What did I spend all this extra money (outside of the tickets to the show, that I really can't afford) for? Also, it sounds like I'm going to have a hard time getting a hug from Chris, is this true? I'm such a fan, this is what I am sooooooo looking forward to.

I won VIP and I cant remember if it was Carter or Shaba.... that lead us down where the boys were.. they took us right after they got off stage so we could have a little quality time with the boys before the radio M&G winners got down there n stuff and we got to take pictures.. but then when the m&g winners got down we had to form a line, they passed out the pics and he was REAL crappy about only getting one thing signed.. and we had to hide our cameras and act as though we didnt get pics.. then.. i was gonna get my ticket stub signed for my best friend who was supposed to be there but couldnt afford it.. and of course get my CD signed that i bought because i found out the DAY OF the concert when I was already out of town with out my CD that I needed to get signed.. haha.. so I walked in with the ticket stub in the case just cuz it was there and I was opening it to take it out. and Carter said "ONE THING TO GET SIGNED!" I said I know.. and juts put it in my pocked.. walked in there with my cousin, we got our autographs adn walked out back in the line.. well the lady behind us told us when she got out that she got her picture and CD signed and she looked at Chris and said something like "I guess I can only get one thing signed" and he said something along the lines like Who cares or something and she got both items signed.

So honestly, I dont think its the boys. I think its management. Carter probably doesnt want Chris and the guys to spend anymore time then need be right after they get off stage.. blah blah. Im sure he has good intentions.

WE LOVE YOU CARTER Smiling

I understand how you feel, it sounds like Carter had something against you or something, gave you a hard time compared to others! It would have been nice for you to get a picture and/or hug as a memory thou. Im glad you still got a meet and greet and your grateful for that, maybe the next time you will have more luck.
I have never had a meet and greet so i can't share my experience yet.

I won meet and greet passes through a local radio station in Nashville, TN. I was so excited to meet them. I have seem them 5 times so I printed out a few of my favorite photos for them to autograph. While we were waiting in line for the meet and greet to begin a guy was telling us all the rules etc. At the time I thought that this guy worked for the venue, but I stumbled across a picture of him on this website so he is affiliated with the band, I beleive his name is Carter. Anyway so he is telling us all the rules, only one item can be signed, (that sucks, but ok) blah , blah, and then he said "No Pictures." WHAT!!! No Pictures that is crazy, I finally get the opportunity to meet Daughtry and I can't take any pictures. I said "why" and Carter pointed to me and said "She is outta here, take her out." Well nothing happened, I got to stay and meet Daughtry. It was so great to meet him and I got his autograph and that was fabulous. Well I asked for a hug because I saw a girl a few people in front of me get a hug. Well right after I asked Chris, that same guy Carter said NO. What is this guys problem?! Does he have something against me?! So I am just curious, is this all normal Daughtry Meet and Greet Rules or did Nashville get done wrong. If this is normal, Chris come on buddy, we are your fans, we love you, we support you, cut us some slack and let us have a hug and a picture. I am not mad just disappointed, Daughtry still ROCKS!! : )
