I love Chris' version of these songs (I think they are better than the originals!) and I was wondering if anyone knew if he was planning on releasing them on an album or something?

I have the short version of all his songs on my mp3 player and listen to them religiously along with his CD and other CD's that he has recommended. I can't wait for him to come up with new songs that I can swoom over.

I doubt that Chris would release any cover song onto a cd b/c he is more focused on his own music and what new stuff he can bring to the world. But I agree with everyone that every song he sings is awesome and I always love the cover songs he does better than the originals too!!

i love his version of rocket man! my mom even loves it too! she was singing it at the concert! i wish he'd put out a version of Hemmorhage and walk the line, but the walk the line version is really Live's

I think that any song that Chris sings is absolutely amazing. He has such an awesome voice, and now, with a great band backing him up, i don't think there's anything they can't do!

Have you heard him sing Elton John's rocketman? OMfreakingG... I just don't think there is song he can't sing. Every song I've heard Chris sing is just mindblowing.

he did both of those songs FAR more amazingly than the originals but like Gayle said, that's his past. He's trying to establish hiself as DAUGHTRY now, with Joey, JP, Steely and Brian beside (NOT BEHIND) him. He's gradually breaking away from the Idol scene. Yes that is where he was "discovered" but he's past that now. That's not to say his time spent on the show and the renditions he did were not amazing/incredible; but he's trying to focus on DAUGHTRY, and DAUGHTRY only. Let him

those are part of Chris' past and he is focused on his future with Daughtry now. I can understand that, its time for him to move on and look ahead now. I love that he is doing covers of songs that meant something to him now, like Pearl jam and Soundgarden. So far he has topped the original (in my opinion anyway) every time! he really has a way of making them his own, doesnt he?
