Daughtry on Idol?
Does anyone have any idea as to if or when Daughtry will be performing on Idol? Since there's only one more week, I have to assume its the 22nd.

im hoping chris/daughtry will be on idol. that will really make my day i was sooo pissed when chris was voted off what was america thinking! anyways it would be awesome for chris/ daughtry to be on idol

They will probably have it on the AI site next week that they are performing. Don't worry. Make sure you watch both the final 2 show on 5/22 as well as the finale 5/23. DAUGHTRY definitely performing "Home" 5/22. Possible Chris siting on 5/23.

Wow thinking about it......
This year being from what I understand the worst Idol ever, what better way to pump up their ratings than to advertise Chris and/or Daughtry making an appearance next week. The fact that they're not makes me think that maybe he's not going to be there. Let's all keep our fingers crossed - until I see something else fill up in his schedule on those 2 days other than the Ellen taping I think there is a chance.
I've been wondering this same thing for weeks now and that voting on the Idol website has him #1 every week as the other poster mentioned. Looking at Chris's schedule it's possible he'll show up on the 22nd or 23rd. He's taping the Ellen show on the 23rd in California, maybe it will be now. Frankly, I banned Idol when Chris got the boot. The only reason I watched the charity show was hoping Chris would perform and was disappointed he wasn't there. I'm gonna watch the Idol finals with the hope that Chris and band will be there - but I'll tell ya I sure don't want this to come down to watching it just to see Taylor Hicks or Mcfeefee!!!!! LOL

I think it would be soooooooooooooo cool if after DAUGHTRY performs "Home" on Tuesday, Ryan comes out and chit chats with Chris. Chris then introduces the band members to the audience (and TV audience). Ryan then says that he has a surprise for Chris/DAUGHTRY. Out pops Clive Davis to present the triple platinum plaque to Chris/DAUGHTRY. He shakes his hand and says congratulations Chris for a job well done for not only shipping triple platinum but for having the BIGGEST SELLING CD of 2007 to date. The crowd stands up and gives DAUGHTRY a standing ovation.
That would be the ultimate moment!!!!!!

If you look on the American Idol website they have a Hit List type of thing. They ask everyone to vote for their favorite songs and then that performer will sing the selected song on AI. Chris has been in the number one spot since the poll came out.
Cmon American Idol....make at least one show this season worth watching. Give us Daughtry !
I believe our main man will be performing on AI on May 22. I am locking myself in my bedroom to watch and have told entire family mommy is "off limits" until the show's over!! LOL
Taylor Hicks was going to perform on the final night. He was on The Tonight Show a couple of nights ago, and Jay said that Taylor would be performing on AI the last night. That bums me out. I was so hoping Daughtry would be on instead. Maybe they'll be performing the night before. If anyone hears anything about Daughtry being on AI, please share with the rest of us diehard fans!!

Chris said in one of his v ideos that he was asked to perform on AI this year and last year Daniel Powter performed the night before the finale with Bad Day. AI hasn't announced it, nor has Daughtry, however, if you look at their tour dates, there's a gap in their "scheduled" performances, that leaves time for them to fly to LA and do the show.
I would bet they'll be on to close out the show on Tuesday. Here's hoping!

I was kinda questioning if it was just going to be Chris on AI or if the whole band would be there! Since Home is a song Chris could just do with his guitar - makes me nervous. I think it would have a better effect if the whole band was there! Would love to see them all!!!

odd to me about him being on the finale is that he is not the "reining Idol", ya know, kinda like miss America passes the crown? Having Chris on instead of Taylor would REALLY be going out on a limb for them. Plus I keep hearing CHRIS...but "Home" isn't Chris, it is DAUGHTRY. I would be really surprised if Chris went on without the band...I am rambling I know,lol...
I guess I just wish SOMEONE would make an ANNOUNCEMENT or RESPOND to the question...

whichever it is, my son's 5th grade graduation is that night , so I will miss it anyway! lol

lists May 22nd as the date. I'm not sure who the writer of the article is or how she knows this information, but it is there in print. Sure would like to see something official on this site for confirmation. Regardless I will watch Tuesday and likely Wednesday, just in case!

Until next Tuesday when Chris sings HOME on AI.........I have waited ALL SEASON for this! It will be my only chance to see him live since the tour isn't coming anywhere near the Big Easy....bummer
