Plus, superstars Will Smith, Tina Fey, Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman, Beyoncé, Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett visit the “Oprah” show in November!
CHICAGO, IL – “The Oprah Winfrey Show” is kicking off November with a two-day special event. On Tuesday, Nov. 4, “The Oprah Winfrey Show” hosts an all-American voting party as people with different viewpoints come together for a celebration of our right to vote. The live show will include “Saturday Night Live” cast members, Whoopi Goldberg and Elisabeth Hasselbeck (“The View”), and dueling political power couple Mary Matalin and James Carville. The special hour will also feature performances by the multi-platinum rock band Daughtry. Then, on Nov. 5, the show goes live again for a post-election special featuring the latest results with political commentators and voices from across the nation.
Some of the world’s biggest stars stop by the “Oprah” show in November. Superstar Will Smith from the new movie “Seven Pounds” pays a visit along with “30 Rock” creator and funny lady Tina Fey on Thursday, Nov. 6. Then, Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman discuss their epic new movie “Australia” on Monday, Nov. 10.

It is awesome that Daughtry didn't go into a particular direction in this election and called on everybody to think and make a decision themselves. This is what is needed, thinking peeps who get up and know that they can make a difference.

I thought you did an amazing job and it made me smile!! I am so proud of you and it's nice to see you trying to get others to take a stand and help make a difference!! I thought WAN was so beautiful and heartfelt and just loved what you did with it. And of course FLTFT was rockin and catchy and great. I am glad there was a little interview there b/c that's always something special and it was interesting to hear what the guys had to say.
I love Joey's new do and think he looks absolutely gorgoues and hot!! That man always looks so good and he did awesome on the drums. All the guys looked good though and it was the perfect way to end the day!! I needed a Daughtry fix and this helped big time and I know Chris' stint on CSI NY will be just as memorable!!
Good job guys. You never let me down and I am so proud of you and can't wait to see you and hear you rock again!! Never stop living your dreams b/c you truly have something special!!

It is so important to vote and I love how Daughtry took a neutral role and just wanted to get the message out there to vote and make your own decision. A day to remember!
What an emotional day! Daughtry on Oprah was so fitting on this election day. Getting the word out to first time voters and staying bipartisan is something you guys should be commended on...encouraging everyone to get involved and learn the issues and not to just vote for someone because their favorite band said so, is so admirable!
I have just finished listening to Pres-Elect Obama's acceptance speech and it was the most moving thing I have ever witnessed. I cried like a baby! Just knowing that our country came together and put race, color and creed aside...(the numbers showed that), says mountains! People listened to the issues and FINALLY, I feel like we are moving in the right direction! I hope our country continues to set an example to the rest of the world as we prove that our "melting pot" of religions, races, and all our many differences can work and make us all better and stronger as we learn to live together in unity and make the world a better place for this and the next generation!
Daughtry, I've said it before, and I'll say it again.... you are more than just great music....you are humanitarians
with selfless hearts....please continue to keep us all aware and informed of our fellow man, with your music and your generosity!
To all: If you voted for McCain or Obama....it doesn't matter now...what matters is that we unite as a country and show the rest of the world that we ARE about change and that WE CAN DO IT!
