BON JOVI INVITES MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, BIG & RICH, GRETCHEN WILSON, DAUGHTRY AND THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS FOR 10-NIGHT GRAND OPENING OF NEWARK’S PRUDENTIAL CENTER FROM OCTOBER 25 THROUGH NOVEMBER 10
Special Guests of Bon Jovi Will Rock for Two Nights Each to Launch Tri-State’s First Major Entertainment Venue in 25 Years

NEW YORK (August 20, 2007) – An incredible array of talent will be special guests of Bon Jovi from October 25 through November 10 as they kick off Newark’s new, state-of-the-art Prudential Center sports and entertainment venue. In an impressive collection of the country’s top talents, multi-platinum acts My Chemical Romance, Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Daughtry and The All-American Rejects will each perform for two nights prior to Bon Jovi, making up one of the hottest concert tickets of the millennium. The Prudential Center, managed by AEG, is the first major entertainment and sports venue to open in the tri-state area in more than 25 years. The concerts headlined by hometown favorites Bon Jovi are expected to draw more than 150,000 fans.
“It will be an honor to share the stage with a band that is responsible for me doing what I do for a living,” said Nick Wheeler of The All-American Rejects. “And in their home state, too!”
"It is a double honor to be part of the opening of the Prudential Center and to perform with New Jersey's very own Bon Jovi, who have been a personal inspiration and who we have the utmost respect and admiration for," said Chris Daughtry.
"The fact that one of the most popular rock bands of all times has asked us to help open a couple dates of their monstrous ten-day run at the Prudential Center is quite the honor," said John Rich of Big & Rich. "Kenny and I are going to make sure we give these fans a night they will never forget."
“Growing up in Jersey isn't like growing up anywhere else; there’s an amazing amount of pride involved,” said My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way. “To be asked to open up for New Jersey's own Bon Jovi at the grand opening of the Prudential Center is an amazing honor. It’s more than anything a group of kids from the Garden State could ever ask for.”

THE two most ULTIMATE bands on the planet, TOGETHER IN THE SAME PLACE.i dont know that i could stand it!!...somebody better have E.M.S nearby, because there are droves more of us who feel this way!!!!! I thought when i saw AC/DC live, that was the best.. and then i got to see DAUGHTRY twice in 5 weeks... the freaking ULTIMATE.... but to see my TWO favorite bands IN THE WORLD on the SAME STAGE...there would be NO WORDS to describe it....
** BUT I WILL NEVER GET TO KNOW, BECAUSE, IM STUCK IN SC!!! LOL...HOWEVER IF I HAD THE FUNDS.. I WOULD BE THERE FOR THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE!!! annnyyyyywayyyyyy

This will be a concert you don't want to miss.. I have been to Hershey to see Daughtry and he is great. Was going to see him in York at the York Fair but was in an accident and spent four hours in the hospital.. That sucked.. Hope I can make it to see him again soon.. He is awesome

i am SO, SO, SO ABSOLUTELY bummed that i have tix for the bon jovi show on oct 26. well, it's bon bon so i guess i shouldn't say i'm ABSOLUTELY bummed. but i would love to sell my tix and get them for the nov 4th DAUGHTRY opening. anyone have any contacts - i'll gladly make good on selling the oct 26 tix to get the nov 4th ones! saw chris & the crew open at merriwether post with staind and nickelback. could have lived without the second two acts and been quite content with 3 acts of JUST DAUGHTRY!!!!! loved 'em!!!!!

I know, I was listening to my local radio station like 2 or 3 weeks ago, and heard they were giving away tickets to see Bon Jovi live and get an airplane ticket and everything and they said now here is a band that will be touring w/ Bon Jovi this year, it is Daughtry with "Home", and I was like OH MY GOSH DAUGHTRY WITH BON JOVI!!!! So, now I know when they will be with Bon Jovi, this is sooooooooooo cool, at first I thought my radio station was losing their minds, haha turns out they were correct!!!! Thanks for the info guys, would love to see that concert

Bon Jovi and Daughtry!!!! O my gawd!!!
Daughtry reminds me of Bon Jovi when they came on the scene in the 80's. I went to one of Bon Jovi's first "club tour" shows just like Daughtry (before they played arenas). Jon Bon Jovi even stood on our table and sang to my friend and I. Look at how huge Bon Jovi became - they are timeless. I believe Daughtry will reach that same ICONIC status and have a long legacy ahead of them!
This would be an awesome concert...wish I could go!!!!
Maybe Chris will do a duet with Jon...Wanted dead or alive??? I really wish I could go!!!!

Bring Back Memories
This is just good old Rock and Roll at it's finest!!! This reminds me of the Texas State Jam - Dallas, Texas in the 1970s. This was a two weekend, three day concerts with great bands........all kinds of music.
Congrats Daughtry!!! This is more proof that you and the guys are there!!! With a great legend - Bon Jovi (what can I say) and a new legend in the making (Daughtry). If it is God's will, I will trek to New Jersey (Bon Jovi's home) to see Daughtry (of course) and Bon Jovi together!!!
This definitely will be the concert of the year!!!!!!

That will be the BEST concert yet for this year!!!! Come to Chicago next year, would defintely go:) Have not seen Daughtry in concert yet, but love the music and watched him on American Idol.......he should of won. Saw Bon Jovi at Soilders Field last year and Nickelback opened for him, that was a good time. I saw Nickelback this year at Alpine and thought Daughtry would be there:( If I have to travel to Newark for this show it is WELL WORTH IT!!!! Love you guys......
