Daughtry to Open for Bon Jovi!
BON JOVI INVITES MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, BIG & RICH, GRETCHEN WILSON, DAUGHTRY AND THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS FOR 10-NIGHT GRAND OPENING OF NEWARK’S PRUDENTIAL CENTER FROM OCTOBER 25 THROUGH NOVEMBER 10
Special Guests of Bon Jovi Will Rock for Two Nights Each to Launch Tri-State’s First Major Entertainment Venue in 25 Years

NEW YORK (August 20, 2007) – An incredible array of talent will be special guests of Bon Jovi from October 25 through November 10 as they kick off Newark’s new, state-of-the-art Prudential Center sports and entertainment venue. In an impressive collection of the country’s top talents, multi-platinum acts My Chemical Romance, Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Daughtry and The All-American Rejects will each perform for two nights prior to Bon Jovi, making up one of the hottest concert tickets of the millennium. The Prudential Center, managed by AEG, is the first major entertainment and sports venue to open in the tri-state area in more than 25 years. The concerts headlined by hometown favorites Bon Jovi are expected to draw more than 150,000 fans.
“It will be an honor to share the stage with a band that is responsible for me doing what I do for a living,” said Nick Wheeler of The All-American Rejects. “And in their home state, too!”
"It is a double honor to be part of the opening of the Prudential Center and to perform with New Jersey's very own Bon Jovi, who have been a personal inspiration and who we have the utmost respect and admiration for," said Chris Daughtry.
"The fact that one of the most popular rock bands of all times has asked us to help open a couple dates of their monstrous ten-day run at the Prudential Center is quite the honor," said John Rich of Big & Rich. "Kenny and I are going to make sure we give these fans a night they will never forget."
“Growing up in Jersey isn't like growing up anywhere else; there’s an amazing amount of pride involved,” said My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way. “To be asked to open up for New Jersey's own Bon Jovi at the grand opening of the Prudential Center is an amazing honor. It’s more than anything a group of kids from the Garden State could ever ask for.”

I wish i was at this concert their line up was pretty good I just got some nickelback tickets for some show coming up this summer though so at least im catching something live.

Wow! Daughtry and Bon Jovi were two of the absolute best concerts I've ever seen and I can't even begin to imagine them both in one show! AWESOME! And what kudos to our guys to have legends like Bon Jovi choose them as one of their opening acts for this huge concert! We all know they're well deserving of this...congrats and much love guys!

Wow I have been going to Jovi shows for twenty years now and I have never seen the more perfect opening band for them til now.Daughtry /Bon Jovi my dream concert.Wow to all the fans going have a rocking time.Maybe I will have to take a vacation in November.

Being 42 yrs old, I have always been a huge Bon Jovi Fan. I saw them in 1987. Now my family and I are huge Daughtry fans. I got the tickets for November 4th and not only am I counting the days, My kids are counting with me and believe me we plan to rock!!!!
We were so disappointed that we did not get through to get tickets when Daughtry played in NYC. Now I know why...Fate had a better plan. Smiling In NYC!!!!!
This would be my DREAM concert with the 2 greatest bands! You have no idea how much I wish this was happening in Chicago!!

That's great news!! I'm sure you guys are thrilled. I get to come to the Nickelback show tonight here in Memphis. I'm very psyched. I'm also taking not that the show starts early and drinks are waiting. It's so great that Daughtry has come to Memphis so much this year! I'd like to see the Bon Jovi show. Theirs was my first album I ever owned. I was three rocking out to living on a prayer...all the way!
