We're all here for the same reason - because we love Daughtry and their music!

I know we're all going to absolutely love the 12 songs on the album, as much as those on the first one!!!!
We'll listen over and over and know the words and tunes by heart, and they will be up there with our most loved songs.

The fact that there are extra songs too, is a bonus, that some will get and others wish to!!!!

I know everyone wants so much to hear every song available by Daughtry!

Maybe in time we all will be able to get to hear and have copies of all the songs, but in the meantime, 12 will be more than enough to keep me very happy!

Chris does all he can to keep us informed of what's going on, and I know we're all so appreicate of that! He really does want to make sure all his fans are happy with what he's doing!

Chris hopes we'll love this new album. Well we loved 'No Surprise' - and I know he'll be overwhelmed by the feedback from the fans after hearing it!
Reviews too will be all he hopes for I just know!!!!

wow.... thank you for that. you read my mind. daughtry has done so much more for us followers than they have needed to and with some of the comments made yesterday that could change all that we love so much. they have made us a part of them by letting us in on things, i can only hope they will continue to do this, but would completely understand if they don't. hopefully from now forward only good things will come out of this and we can all be the gushy daughtry followers we are meant to be......

Some of you keep using the economy as an excuse for your behavior. Have you considered the fact a lot of people at this company are dependant on how well their artists' perform? The record company doesn't just employ million dollar suits you know. Or do you know?

Many jobs are saved or lost based on the profit margin and clearly they have expectations for this CD to do well. The music business is not in the best shape right now and every little bit helps.

Not to mention all those local retailers that were given rights to these exclusives and will advertise not only to the label or Daughtry's benefit but to their own. How many of those business' are hoping these exclusives bring in a few more customers so they can stay out of debt and pay their own mortages and so forth?

In otherwords, try to consider the small possibility that maybe, just maybe, you aren't the only one with a tight wallet. And that just perhaps the profits from these exclusives will financially benefit people who are in the same situation you find yourself.

What kind of ungrateful idiot waits all this time for the release of the new Daughtry album and then complains about having options?!!? WOW! I just don't get it.
I am so excited to get ANY version of the album and may end up buying them ALL before it is said and done!

This is the way it is done. The many music outlets must find ways for customers to buy from them. The only way for that to happen is to include bonus tracks, videos, posters, etc....

I am getting so excited for July 14th.

As for myself, no apologies. Some of the things said to Chris and even toward this company were extremely out of line last night. If feelings were hurt so be it. I can only imagine how Chris felt. How was he or RCA to know a COMMON practice in the industry exercised indiscriminately among all their artists would lead to HIM and RCA be signaled out in this manner?

There seems to be quite a lot of ignorance as to how this industry works around here but ignorance is no excuse for the hurtful invectives directed his way. He is owed an apology as is the label. If you disagree with this method, learn to express it in an adult manner. And then let it be. You don't have the right to continue throwing a tantrum and holding your breathe until you get your way at everyone else's expense.

You are not entitled to 19 tracks. Just as I am not entilted to a red camaro. But I'm not at my local dealership staging a protest that they leave their business sense at the door and make one affordable to me just because I say so. You want the tracks? Try saving up for them and buying them when you can afford them. Maybe you'll appreciate them more if you do.

All of these choices are really cool. I had already planned to buy a few copies anyway. Having different versions will keep it interesting.

19 days to go until we have our new Daughtry music in our hands!! Woo-hoo for that. I am ready and I know it's all going to be amazing and I plan on buying everything I can b/c it's going to be worth it and I have established a nice Daughtry fund for this very thing along with chances to to attend some concerts. No matter what I have to do the cost will be wort it and I am just ready. Even if my game plan has to change it's not a biggie!!

Let's just celebrate Daughtry and their new music!! We're going to enjoy it after all!!

We've been offered a CHOICE....RCA has given us a virtual smorgasbjord of editons of Leave This Town from which to choose, so choose ONE if that's what your pocketbook can support or choose them ALL if you have the means to do so. Just stop all the complainin, already.

Deb, I support your eloquent statement 100%...it was very measured and reasonable in tone, and you make eminent sense. Thanks for your words of wisdom.

Peeps, y'all KNOW that eventually ALL these songs will find their way into your ipods or whatever contraptions y'all use to listen to music. We're not 5 year olds, are we? I realize we live in an age of instant gratification now, but really, are ya gonna DIE if ya can't have all 19 songs YESTERDAY? Can't you find SOME gratitude lyin around to express to Chris and the guys for bendin over backwards to try and satisfy us ALL?

This IS a business, remember, and businesses are all about the bottom line.....if this album doesn't make money, we won't have ANY songs from DAUGHTRY to worry about in the future. So, suck it up, grow up and be happy with what you've been offered. There are far more serious issues goin on in the world today to worry about.

I had no idea all of this errupted yesterday. I agree with Deb's post 100%.
I know that Daughtry always takes care of us in the end. Many times info comes out and it is a wtf moment, right? The full story has not come out or it has not been fully thought through yet. Just like this instance.
I think, that if information is posted on the DO that I have questions or concerns about, that responding to the blog with my opinion is what I should do - whether it be positive or negative. Chris and RCA have always welcomed both all of our opinions, when stated respectfully.
If we don't tell them what we, as fans, want, how do they know? So for those of us who were genuinely confused or felt inconvenience, it's not a "rain" on the parade. It's opinions and suggestions made, respectfully.
It's like my husband. If I don't tell him exactly what I want and get annoyed with him for not reading my mind, is that ok? Nope! LOL
I love Daughtry too much to not express my concerns if I have one.

Jill & Helen - I was with ya, girls. I was thinking make it easy for me! It was a bit too much to think about LOL...LOL...LOL
