Top Chef
Anyone else a fan of this show? The new season in Vegas starts tonight. I've been looking forward to this day since last season's finale. I got completely hooked on this show last season.

The reunion should be fun!!

I'm so happy Michael won! He was my favorite all along, even though he was a jerk a couple of times. I loved his little speech about how he never wanted to do anything other than cook for a living, and he's never earned a paycheck for anything but cooking in his life. I knew he would win after that speech - it was so heartfelt and you could tell he really enjoyed what he was doing. The winning moment was very touching, having Brian and his mom there and having their own little family moment. I was hoping it would come down to Michael and Brian in the end, and I was very happy with the end result. Bring on the reunion!

...now I have nothing to watch on Wednesday nights. Maybe I can get to bed earlier!
though I hate his beard!
I thought he was the most consistant all season. Brian was my next choice then Michael. The brothers were so fun to watch! I enjoyed this season.

I really thought she would win the quickfire - the guest judge REALLY seemed to like her dish. I just don't get it.
I'm torn now between Bryan or Kevin

can't wait - make sure your DVR's are set properly if nec - Bravo is not rerunning it back to back this week like they have in the past - they're debuting a new show
--

...but I saw somewhere a lot of Michael bashers out there. I've been on that bandwagon too, but I have to admit, the guy knows what he's doing in the kitchen. I really want Bryan to win, but I think it will turn out to be Kevin.
No new epi this week!
Happy T'day, everyone!

This might be the first reality show I've seen that has a rightful final four - the best are there in the end. I think each of them has earned their right to be in the finals. They're all great chefs. I too am glad Jen got her mojo back - I was worried for her for a few weeks there.

That peanut soup thing he made last week just looked terrible. I can't imagine what peanut soup must taste like. I feel so bad for him because it was obvious to me that he was so disappointed when seeing what Circus Circus looked like inside, he prolly couldn't make his brain work to design a good dish!

It was OK but I could have done w/o it. I think the best part was where they made Fabio pull a Colicchio & go to the kitchen to check up on the chefs' progress
I think what was missing for me was the competition part - I just saw a rerun of a S1 vs S2 battle that I guess they ran right before S3 started. Even though I never watched S1 or S2, I liked THAT ONE better than this reunion special because it had a competition in it. Even if someone had complained about another person's dish loud enough to start an argument, maybe it would have seemed better.
Just watched it last night. I miss Fabio - he and Stefan were always good for a few laughs last season. I think season 5 might've been the most fun season of them all, with how charasmatic the cast was and how well they all got along. I didn't see all of the first 4 seasons, but I did see parts of them...didn't really get into this show until last season. That Marcel guy needs to get over himself - he's annoying as hell! Everyone else seemed to be enjoying themselves, and he was Debbie Downer. Anyway, it was a fun special. Looking forward to next week's episode.

I just feel bad because everyone is picking on her just because their friends got the boot. They always boot the worst dish! I am rooting for Jen!
I so love Fabio voted for him for fan favorite! he rocks!

I didn't mean to make you upset, I just don't think she's up to par with most of the remaining chefs. I will try to curb my sarcasm more often.
On a lighter note, have you seen the commercials for the "Reunion" special that's on tonight? It looked to me like Fabio is about ready to go off on someone - should make for an interesting show. I didn't see the first three seasons, but sometimes I catch bits & pieces here & there. Looks as though they have a good mix of people on for this Reunion.
Does anyone know / can describe the winners from the first three seasons? I've tried going to Bravo's website, but all I see there are seasons 4-6, which I watched, and I couldn't find any archive info.
I don't like that!

But when they show the mini-interviews w/each of them, she really comes across as believing that she BELONGS there. While I'm all for believing in yourself, you gotta wonder if she's serious...
--

It almost seemed at the end like he was one of those that was just ambivalent about being sent home, like he was tired of it all and wanted to get back to life
--

It was the non-bro Mike, the one that started out really rude and woman-bashing at the beginning. It was kinda funny actually because both he & Robin kept talking about how much they loved vegetarian food and how much they cooked it, yet they were in the bottom 3, along with Jen (again??!)
--

Did u want me to tell u, or do u wanna try to catch the reruns?
Jen was having issues I hope she is safe!!
--

--

can't wait - it's got to be robin this time!!!
--

It definitely needed to be Laurine or Robin. Neither one stacks up against the rest. But I gotta say, I'm really starting to DISLIKE Michael V. I unxerstand it's a competition, but he seemed like a major d*** last night.

I was surprised how well Robin did. But I do think that at this point, she's very outmatched by the other chefs. She should go next. Or Eli...don't really care for him either. I was shocked at how poorly The Mission did in restaurant wars, though. It's like they made a season's worth of mistakes in one challenge. I couldn't believe it...and got a little worried for Kevin and Jenn because there would've been no way they would've deserved to be eliminated based on their overall performance.

My teammate & I were both saying that they should just cut it already and make the top 4 from this episode, Bryan, Michael V, Kevin & Jennifer the final 4. They're almost always the ones up there, anyway...
--

I didn't think he was the best of the bunch food-wise, but I really liked his personality. He made me laugh almost every episode. It was probably the right choice, but I will miss him. Robin really needs to go though.
